you cant stop malanaggi and not have power, his power is improving he'll never be a KO king but it will be decent enough

Just asking a legitimate question and asking for a range of different answers with people who have different perspectives. Some people may feel his power is over rated and some may think it could be one of the other two reasons. The fact is it is rare for a fighter to become world champion without at least scoring one victory by a a ten count. Personally I think some of his stoppage wins in the past have been too early against fighters who could have continued but he has badly hurt some opponents and had them on the ropes. Even light hitting champs have usually scored at least 1 ko, his power at world level has seemed decent so far but he's never dropped a world class fighter even with a flash knock down. I think his stoppage against Malinagi was legit but he still did not manage to drop him, just asking because a fighter with a good chin and good pop may be able to come forward through his flurries.

That's what I believe also... I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Maidana even bumrushes him, and then it's the question if Khan can survive the onslaught. I predict a KO for Marcos, and it can be any round from the 1st to the 12th.

    His power is overrated
Hatton took Paulie Malinaggi out faster and then khan did and I felt Hatton was done because it took him that long. Im really not impressed with Khan, I was expecting a Huge punch from him, but it looked like somewhat heavy landing shots that acumilate through out the fight.

If he beats Madana I will respect him as a good fighter but not the power puncher this website made him out to be.

How did you work that one out mate? Even guys in the LWW division like Malinagi and Timothy Bradley who are not noted punchers have genuine KO's on there record. Joe Calzaghe had a few as well. Did you even watch the Williams vs. Martinez fight?

No I can assure you he does not mate. I've watch all of his fights and not once has he had somebody down for the ten count. Steffy Bull was ready to go but he was still standing on his feet at the time of the stoppage. Check boxrec if you do not beleive me that has all of the official records about how the fights ended.

    Calzaghe only has 2 KO's.

Ricky Hatton had 16, of 32 stoppage wins in total.

Khan's punching power is adequate. No more, no less.

He doesn't have much power at all. He just throws pitty patty combos and his ref steps in for him.

Don't get me wrong here I am not saying Khan is a bad fighter. His footwork has improved a lot latley and his handspeed is fantastic. All I am simply saying is that there may be a question mark over his punching power although I would not exactly say he is feather fisted.
