I'm going to pretend I did not read that post because if you had read mine you would have clearly seen that I wa saying that Khan has NEVER left an opponent on the canvas for ten seconds.
He will probably get a beating but you can't expect Khan who can't KO a decent LWW suddenly KO a guy 7 weightclasses above him, even when the guy never boxed
How did Hatton take Paulie out faster, when both stopped him in the 11th? Furthermore, Hatton's stoppage was laughable. Buddy McGirt came throwing in the towel when he wasn't even hurt, hence the reason Paulie was so pissed off for being stopped. Khan on the other hand was sucking the life out of him with every shot he landed....jabs, hooks, straight rights, body shots etc. Paulie's neck was continuously snapping back, and he himself had no complaints when the referee stopped it. Also, Khan - unlike Hatton - stopped him by boxing with him. It was his punches alone which accumulated the damage. Rick was boxing, mauling him, roughing him up etc. So whilst he hasn't got KO, dynamite power (noone has ever claimed he has), he's got the snap in his punches to make people respect him.
So Hatton was not snapping his head back? Malinaggi cod have went on to the end in both fights imo. You have to remmbe te Ricky Haton who was in hat fight seemed to ave lot his power by jumping up and down weight, hisowelked comletly gone in he fight before Malinaggi when he could not even finish an ex LW een though he was landin dosens o shots.
Sorry, dude, but that was a little difficult to read and understand. You're saying Ricky's power was gone by the time he fought Malignaggi? I don't think so. There's very little evidence to suggest it had. Anyway, that's beside the point. It still doesn't dispel the fact that that was a shitty stoppage. Paulie himself has never been happy with it. As oppose to the Khan stoppage, where you could visually tell how little he had left in him, and him not complaining about it.
there was a fight early on, just before h stepped up in class. he knocked a frenchman out with one punch.
The keyboard I'm using is useless and I am saying that in the fight prior to Malinaggi he could not finish an ex light weight who he landed a lot of punches on and nomally would have stopped. I except that Amir would beat me up, I'm just saying at world class level there are still big question marks over his power which I think remain unanswerd by the Malinaggi win, also I think if he were to move up a weight his power woud not be very imposing.
I don't understand why you think he's getting KO hype? Where on ESB have people claimed Khan to be a knock-out puncher?
Erm, well I'll have to disagree. He answered a lot of questions with his stoppage of Paulie - something which the majority of ESB laughed at prior to the fight. He has respectable power, in my opinion.
Khan has good power, not devastating but good, ive thought that his speed has been the reason the ref has had to jump in before because of the relentless shots his opponants cant escape from. Under Roach hes been taught to keep that tight high gaurd and alot of his shots are being thrown from there and the powers only coming from the elbow up, only when he really tastes blood does he begin to pull his shoulders back and open his defence. He was safe to open up straight away against Salita, and a bit against Malinaggi, against Kotelnik he barely opened up at all.
