No. It will be the same Erik Morales who gave a young monster in Maidana a hell of a fight, before beating another young monster – rated by many to be better than Maidana – in Lucas Matthysse. Remember, I'm saying Morales will only be a legitimate opponent if he beats Matthysse. Otherwise, yes, he's nothing more than a guy who lost to David Diaz, and had one last hurrah against Maidana. I too would prefer it if Morales didn't win the WBC title. I want Matthysse to win it. This will either force Khan to fight Matthysse if he wants that belt, or it'll turn his attention towards Guerrero if he beats Maidana.

Now, you’re upset with Khan saying one thing and doing another, but tell me, how exactly is this his fault? The only thing Khan promised was to unify the division and move up. His mission to do that has, unfortunately, been hampered by the other champion not sticking to his word and avoiding him. And honestly, why would he want a Katsidis, when he had the option of getting a title off the much better, more skilled and experienced Zab Judah? He’s also eyeing up Guerrero as one of his possible opponents. A man who just beat Katsidis. But you’d like him to ignore all them, and settle business with a Katsidis instead?

The only way Khan fights Morales is if Erik beats Mattysse. If he pulls that of surely that makes him a legit challange Amir.

Why did he offer the July 23rd date to Morales before Judah then? :think

I am not labelling you as a hater and I also understand your perspective on Khan's opponents, you just need to relax, not every fighter will fight the best one after another, the fights that you expect to see will happen but maybe in a years time, then you may see the Berto's and the Cotto's etc on his record. But for now its just 1 fight at 140 then maybe 1 or 2 fights at 147 then Mayweather!!

Really? I wasn't aware that he did. I thought they just had numerous amount of opponents thrown out there - including Morales and Judah - and made their choice accordingly.

According to Khan's comments this week they did. Thankfully he rejected.
