Amir Khan versus Hatton anytime in the next 3 years is suicide.

Amir does not want any piece of Hatton.
He should cut that out right now.

At this point its tough to tell. We haven't seen Khan against anyone remotely close to that calibre yet. I agree though that potentially he has the skills to dominate Hatton.

I wouldnt worry, this is the same guy that thinks roy jones 20-30 pound muscle gain in a period of time that would be a record for a "natural" lifter was without the aid of drugs, even though Roy tested positive in 2000 for Steroids when he didnt even need to gain weight :patsch

It's the 'I'm not messing about' bit that gets me. Sure, everyone is entitled to their opinion but to state it as if we all hang off his every word is rather stupid...and arrogant.

How does boxing have so many 'experts'??

I think even if Ricky was semi retired he would come out for a fight with Khan. Its winnable, but more importantly, ****ing HUGE in the UK. Khan and Hatton are the only active boxers in the UK that most people have heard of, it would make megabucks.

I'm not sure if it'll be as soon as 18 months but Khan will be better than Hatton eventually. Height, reach, speed. Kahn has the tools to out-box him

i think this is based mostly on what both may be.khan in 18 months being a fully fledged 140 pounder and still improved.hatton with another 18 months of drinking, feasting and ballooning between fights in decline and all round faded.khan winning isn't as far fetched as what it seems.at this moment hatton kills him.

Hatton has a huge amount of experience compared to Khan, he has also been in with way bigger punchers than Khan, and he has absorbed everything they had and still been standing by the end of the fight. Khan would have to gain massive amounts of power to knock Ricky out, and I just don't see it happening. He couldn't even do **** to Gairy St Clair except box cautiously and outpoint the tiny fella.

Exactly, Khan is commenting on the fact that in 18 months time, if all goes according to plan. He would 'maybe' fight Hatton, and he has the style to beat him, i.e in his opinion someone with quick hands. It is all hypothetical, and he is assuming he can win a world title and then move up to LWW in the next year and a half, and that Hatton would still be around.

But give the kid a break, some people would only be happy if Khan, was a self deprecating pessimist in every response to a journalist.
