That's the thing, he's NOT very skilled. He just has range and speed, and a nice jab. His actual technical skills aren't impressive at all, neither is his ring IQ, which is why he has trouble with the likes of Maidana and Peterson, or gets stopped by Garcia, or looks lousy against Julio Diaz.

But his flaws actually have helped make some fights pretty exciting. If he were that skilled, he would have taken care of Maidana easily. But he isn't, so we got one of the best fights of 2010

too much hate on this forum as usual....should be a good fight....respect to khan for always taking tough challenges, unlike his UK counterpart Kell Shook

Judah fight Khan (in and out style) > Garcia's Khan (brawler), This Khan ('Boxer')

Close Fight, Khan gets the Decision

I am Khan fan but Amir will be stopped in this fight. Collazo is a bad match up and Khans chin resistance has plummeted ever since the Garcia bout. I am in a sense glad though, as it will expose the fact that Khan never belonged in the ring with Mayweather and he is spared the humiliation he would have faced against Floyd.

Khan beat Peterson clearly, Referee was ****, How can you warn and deduct 2 points off khan for pushing when you dont do anything for peterson leading with his head

Kotelnyk, Paulie, Maidana, Judah are excellent fighters, not the best but B level Fighters

' he's improved alot at 147.' Thats plain ******ed, he's got beat up by cotto, Hatton, Khan, no all of a sudden he's better fighter?? The hell are you smoking.

Calazo isnt no cherry pick, Thurman fight was never happening, why would GBP let a young fighter who isnt tested against speed who should be guided easily fight a guy of Khan's Caliber, why would they let a guy who can't take a great shot fight a puncher, when they can make money down the line with him?? Terrible Business.

Callazo isnt a puncher but he's got decent power and a good powerful right hook, that people who followed his career knew about before the Ortiz fight

I hope Collazo knocks out Khan so we never hear about a Floyd-Khan fight again.

Lmao give over, thurman would ko khan easy lmao. Funniest thing iv read on this forum, twisting it to they wouldnt wanna match thurman with khan lmao.
It is terrible business but thats my exact point, cherry pick in the fact collazo isn't a big puncher........

I dnt give a **** about those deductions, it was a close fight and i felt he'd lost. Simple as that. Peterson was walking him down and landing combos and khan was running as usual.

nahhhh paulies stylistically a great match up for khan, judah didn't even throw a punch lol.. kotelnik wasn't the greatest.. you just confirmed my point again all b level fighters so how is amirs resumes so great... he goes on about it asif it is. the best on it are probably garcia, peterson, maidana.. lost 2 and won 1... and i'l give him props in the maidana fight for surviving round 10.

sorry, that was my point though, amir has the tools to beat a slow slugger like maidana.. speed and movement. He is flawed though for sureeee. I;v always said this... his fights are exciting when he gets hurt and the fight becomes hes running can the other guy catch him and finish him... his fights are boring until that point lol

No he kinda fights a bit like judah it's a good style matchup as long as khan circles the right way like he did against judah

Agree, people have short memories. Unless Khan really is shot, he should win this fight handily. Collozo is a solid boxer and a great "exposer of truth", as it were. If Khan is at least 85% of what he was during his initial run, he should look very very good. One thing we have to consider is that Khan was matched tough against virtually nothing but world class opponents. He's had a tough agenda.

I think I had Collazo beating Hatton by 1 point & the Berto fight even.

    Very close (and entertaining) fights.
