Well unless his next fight in July is against maidana then, he will lose his title. As he can't fight in September as it's too soon after ramadhan (fasting).

This make maidana fight in July more likely. Although would still prefer Judah now. Then leave the title and move unto 147 in November against a berto/ortiz

Didn't Team Maidana give it all that "he wouldn't dare fight us" stuff before the last fight?

    Reverse psychology.

In the build up to the fight, watch them work the "He wouldn't dare stand and trade" angle.

I don't think it's a bad time to take Maidana again.

I think he's struggling at the weight, and will have to move up before long.

Obviously Khan doesn't have the ring smarts that Morales has but he's obviously bigger and more mobile than El Terrible is these days.

    :good

    :good

Thing is, no one can really complain.

    -Marketable (first fight history)
-Viable (beat Morales, tight, but he's mandatory and gave a good go first time)
    -Deserved challenger (see above)
-Money (under GBP banner as well; HBO will be happy, Sky might well try and repair ties to get this fight)

    Make it for late July!

The best thing for khan to do is beat Judah and collect title, then move to campaign at 147. I really think he's grown too big for 140

Maidana squeezed past old Morales to win the interim title and 'earn' this shot :patsch

True, but one fight previously he gave the 'champion# a very tough fight, and no one else seems available/up for it/hard to negotiate with.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Khan/Maidana II but it's crazy how it's a mandatory all of a sudden

If Khan can't get Judah then Maidana is the next best option. Guerrero wouldn't be worth it cos he'll get stick for fighting a lightweight.
