He sells out arena's fighting nobodies, was one of the most endorsed british sports stars before he had even 10 fights, major rating earner on prime time television, is newspaper worthy above boxers with 3 times as many fights, is a household name etc etc

Just because a few idiots on youtube write abuse doesn't mean that Khan is criticised because of racism.

Legitimate boxing fans don't like warren hype machines that are unproven but are shoved down our throats like gods

The amount of racist abuse he got after he was knocked out was ****ing disgusting, anyone who thinks that race doesn't play a factor in why people hate him needs to take a look at that evidence.

Boxing fans aren't too bad for it, because they know about the weak chin and arrogant demenour, but there's a lot of casual fans who love to see him fail because he's a pakistani muslim, don't doubt it.

Maybe us European types have realised that there is no "Continent of the Middle East", and that in fact the land mass of the Middle East actually falls within the sphere of the "Continent of Asia".

So speaking in general terms there is nothing wrong with using the term Asian to describe people from these countries; from there you can narrow it down to Middle Eastern, then down further to say Jordanian, Iranian etc.

Some countries (like Egypt, Turkey and Israel) are individually harder to pin down in general terms.

There are some racists who hate him because he's Muslim. But on the whole his detractors dislike him because he was so over-hyped (but obviously the media are gonna hype a skilled young Olympian). I don't think arrogance is a valid reason seeing as all boxers must be confident & believe they will achieve things. Plus Ali, Mayweather, RJJ etc were all pretty cocky and Kahn doesn't exactly act like prince Naseem.

:patsch That's why Lewis comfortably lives in a retreat in Miami. Ironic that you mention the Uncle Tom Bruno in the next sentence, yes the Uncle Tom who Lewis called out prior to their fight:deal

This has always been the case, and it has always made it difficult to understand certain newspapers.

But mainly, the US's version of what Asian is differs from the rest of the planet, I think.

To the US, Asians are Chinese/Japanese/ Koreans etc. Manny Pacquaio and the Phillipines are not usually defined as Asians, strangely.

To the UK, Asians are mainly the Indian and Pakistan areas.

Of course, by definition, Asians encompasses the Far East/ the Sub Continent, and the Middle East, and even some Eastern European countries, like Turkey.

    Fark geography, it's too confusing.

I think what's stupid about the UK is, Indians and Pakistani's are referred to as asians.

Anyone who is yellow is referred to as Chinese. It doesn't matter whether they are japanese, vietnamese, koreans, Philipino, Thai, they are all referred to as chinese its hilarious and ignorant of the brits.
