Dont see the problem to be honest. Will be relatively early in the camp, he'll probs be in the UK anyway. He really wont be doing too much sparring that early on in the camp anyway, and working with someone else (who's best attribute is fitness and fighting on the inside) wont do him any damage in all honesy

you cant learn the art of inside fighting in two weeks impossible he should of been working on this years ago or at least a couple of weeks after the fight imho, not leaving it, holidays, engagement parties ,fashion shoots and **** and oh yeah i will get a couple of weeks inside game behind me off joe g comical really.
is he expecting joe to drop everything he does with the other fighters solely to learn khan something which roach cant?

Not so bad. 2 weeks at gallaghers shold be great. Guys like Smith, Quigg and Murray should be trying to take his head off which is great preparation because PEterson will try to do the same. Then he goes to the Philippines for high level sparring with Pac.

6 weeks in the Philippines sounds like too much. Jet lag, out of his comfort zone, in Mannys bubble rather than his own etc

I'd be surprised if he hasn't already been doing preparation for fighting on the inside with Joe Gallagher already, he's been in England a while and Joe Gallagher trains his fighters at Khan's gym.

Someone from Khans team really needs to start scheduling his fights, so Roach can train him exclusively before fights, in america, as his fights are always too close to Manny's, though if Manny does retire, that may not be a problem any more.

Probably not an ideal training camp, and it could take months to learn enough inside fighting, to keep Peterson from beating him up on the inside. Should be good fight though!

Slower hands, slower feet, no punch, no defence... how is Murray good sparring for Peterson?

I think it's loyalty first here - Pac's like Freddie's son in a lot of ways. Khan is only there because he brings money in.

To Roach, Khan has always been secondary to Manny's preparation in pretty much all his fights. Khan shuttles back and forth between countries and cities to accommodate Pacquiao and that can't be good for him.

Khan is deluded to think his loss was all down to a bad referee. If he wants to win this one he should maybe look towards a trainer that can dedicate all his attention to Khan. If he looses his career takes a big set back. He can always pay for good sparring partners with any trainer.

Khan's deluded if he thinks the loss was all down to a bad referee, or The Man In The Hat™ or his cornermen. At some point Khan's got to look in the mirror and wonder whether maybe - just maybe - a big part of why he lost is Khan himself. He's got the same flaws as a fighter as he did years ago, he's always got excuses for when he loses, he tends to overlook opponents and harp on about future "big fights" and already has his mind set on retirement at 28.

He's not got the right mindset to actually improve if that's how he's thinking. To improve he'd actually need to accept that he lost, acknowledge his flaws and put time and effort into amending them to improve as a fighter. But he won't, as he genuinely seems to believe he's a legit top 10 "P4P" fighter and that it's never him, it's always someone else.

Yeah this really isn't good. He needs a lot longer with roach to work on his fundamental flaws

Sadly you cannot teach boxing IQ. Adaptability is an ability that is inherent, not programmable.

I think this is a good move i think Khan will learn alot being with Joe Gallagher and will be shown how to be more effective on the front foot.

Well Mr taylor, pac looks to be on the slide a bit, so it will be interesting to see if Roach still feels like his father when the bucks arent quite as big as they are at the moment;)

Yup, unlike the Murphys Im still bitter about the way he dumped McEwan:twisted:

I have a similar sense, but Pac's probably only got two or three fights left in him anyway.
