Khan also has: - Good heart. The Limond, Gomez, and recent Maidana match all attest to that. Even in his only loss, when he was brutally KO'd, he kept trying to get back up right until the match ended. - One of the best jabs in the sport right now. - Great ability to throw combinations. The combination throwing means that he can win rounds on workrate when facing more conservative fighters. In a close round, a combination or two can swing it. It's a great asset for a fighter. - Stamina and conditioning to go all 12 rounds at a decent pace. People like Floyd often depend upon their opponent tiring down the stretch (Hoya, Shane, Judah) but Khan has shown that he's not a 'frontrunner'. He was moving a LOT against Kotelnik, and constantly throwing punches, and while he looked tired in the later rounds he still made it all the way and kept his output at a respectable level. In the Maidana fight he had the conditioning to survive the onslaught in the tenth and still dance around the ring for the last two rounds, even finishing the match with combinations. This is a good trait to have. Does Khan have flaws? Of course he does. I could make a list of those too, if I wanted. (I'm particularly dubious about his defence.) That being said, I think you're too harsh on him. He's clearly more than just fast hands at this stage.
:good That's a good post. Unfortunately, I don't have the patience with the guy you responded to, to make a reply like that.
