Amir Khan "I can beat the old and slow Mayweather"

I'm no Khan lover,but should he really be slaughtered for trying to talk himself into the fight that every boxer south of 160 in the world wants?
Let's keep it real guys.It always was a joke of a prospect,but everyone wants to try and talk themselves into Floyd's thoughts.Had he won I'm sure he'd be near the top of that list.

 

Khan was ALWAYS too worried with Mayweather instead of worrying about the deficiencies in his own fight game. It's a shame if he had focused on improving his skills and most importantly improving his terrible, terrible defense he may have got the Mayweather fight!

In a way i agree with you, i mean we can't blame a guy for wanting to fight the best and make millions can we? We'd all want the same.

The way Khan does it just rubs me up the wrong way though, in his final interview for Sky prior to the Peterson fight, he didn't talk about Peterson, he talked about Mayweather.

And it's annoying that this guy actually genuinely believes he's in Mayweather's class, he's his own worst fanboy.

 

And i recall going on Sky roughly a month ago and seeing the headline

"Khan looking past Garcia"

And i thought to myself, this guy really does not do himself any favours.

Well it's funny NOW. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The thing is, everyone fighting or potentially fighting Mayweather think they can beat him. Khan was and is no exception.

But my pet hate was him calling out ageing legends,way north of their best weight and offering them peanuts as opponents,then coming out and saying they're all scared of him.
He's comedy gold though.His Primetime analysis was comedic genius at it's best.

Mayweather would toy with Khan and knock him out anytime he wants from the 4th round on....and this is coming from a HUGE Mayweather hater. Khan ain't ****.

I always remember JUST after PAC-JMM3 before the verdict got read out and it looked like Marquez was gonna win

Khan was saying "I CHALLENGE MARQUEZ, I WILL FIGHT HIM"

Verdict gets read out, Marquez loses, Khan shuts the **** up
