Khan can't surprise me with any of his ludacris statements anymore, and I'm pretty sure he will make the exact opposite statement after the fight, that he's just too small to compete as a MW.

exactly... He's not a MW or even a JMw... His height is very deceiving but his head is too small...... He's a 140 lber that can match pretty well with anyone at 147.... Canelo is way too ****ing big for Khan.... It will be a mismatch after round 3...:deal

He's not that big. Pretty much he can make the weight limit without cutting at all. IIRC, he came in at 148 lbs. for one of his fights. I don't even think he's as big as Cotto.

this guy speaks so much ****, He is a ****ing clown. He is going to get smashed.

B level 135 fighter knocked this guy out in a round and he going to beat a top 160 fighter. This fight is a mismatch. I will be amazed if it go's 3 rounds.

He does come off either as an idiot when he makes misguided statements like this or as a guy who thinks boxing fans are idiots for possibly believing in the garbage that spews forth from his mouth. Either way it makes Khan look bad.

But quite frankly size isn't even an issue in this fight. Khan has twice been KTFO by being countered and he's facing the best and hardest counter puncher he's faced to date, combine that with Khan looking less than invincible in his last fight and you have a recipe for defeat. The weight difference should be the last thing should be focusing on.

When the significant underdog has to justify why they have a chance in their upcoming fight...

Canelo is no puncher just ask mosely who thinks Floyd and Canelo punch the same. I can see khan going the distance. Cottos chin is questionable and Canelo couldn't put a dent in it. Canelo is also flat footed wouldn't surprise me if khan did quite well.

This could explain his chin issues. He'll probably have an iron chin now at mw/smw.

I don't think he's a particularly hard puncher either, he has decent power but that's it. But having said that compared to Garcia and Prescott who both knocked Khan into another plane of reality, he might as well be Julian Jackson.

I think Cotto's chin is decent, he showed vulnerability at 140lbs due to the struggles of making weight and he's only been stopped twice. Once by Margarito likely with the assistance of bricks for fists and by Pac and both were due to accumulation.

So while clearly Canelo as a puncher isn't on the level of Margacheato or Pac he's definitely a harder puncher than Garcia or Prescott.

He said it half jokingly after Haye suggested that ''maybe Amir Khan was always supposed to be a MW''. He was just agreeing with Haye that maybe it could be true.

Does Khan think that the new middleweight limit is 155?

Stick Khan in with the true MW champion and let's see if he really feels he was "supposed" to be a MW.

He isn't even supposed to be a Welterweight. Brook is the size of person welterweights should be...he spent his whole career at the weight and only now is having issues making it.

Khan started and did well in his career YOUNG. He was an extraordinary amateur boxer. His pro career prime came at 140 pounds when he was around 25 years old in 2011 (Judah fight, look at his frame and physique)

Now he is walking around 29 years old with his chicken legs at 160 pounds using the weight drained excuse. lame & sad really.
