We ain't asking him to even dive straight into a fight with a Romanov, just a Thanxton or a Murray, a big domestic clash that whets the appetitie... Instead of taking that logical step forward and giving the fans what we want, he instead takes a step back by fighting a Columbian drug runner... And then this pile of shite... I really hope this PPV bombs badly.
Careful! By saying that your not a true boxing fan according to a certain poster on these forums :yep
It's personal. I acknowledge he is a good fighter and is entertaining, but the arrogance and constant bullshitting really pisses me off. I look at Amir the way I look at the Arsenal side of a couple of years ago - very talented and good to watch, but full of wankers (Amir's hangers on :deal) and does nothing but moan!
yeah, i thought they were the same size but prescott looks much bigger in the photo shoot. maybe sky bosses forced him to stand on a box to make him look like a more threatening opponent.
I do 'Was that a penalty against your team' 'I didn't see anything' 'Did your player strike an opponent' 'I didn't see anything' 'It was right in front of you' 'I didn't see anything' 'Is it going to rain today' 'I didn't see anything'
The guy who beat Witter (Bradley) was undefeated and had never fought a guy in the top 50 before. He had a good KO record as well. You never know there might be an upset - doubtful though he's obviously been picked...
The hype surrounding Khan has got out of hand, but before criticising his standard of opponent and saying he should fight Thaxton check out who Thaxton was sharing the ring with on his 19th fight. He was fighting a no mark from Vilnius, or some other **** hole in Lithuania, who barely had a 50% win record......and it was for an intercontinental title. If people are going to be critical it should be fair and level across the piece.
Good point..... But Thaxton had a nasty habit of losing to bums in his earlier career - since the Hatton fight he is 14-2, one loss against Eamon Magee (a huge light welter) and Romanov
This is true enough, but the difference is Thaxton was sprouting **** about how far above everyone he was at domestic level without having proven it and nor was he on PPV against a no mark like Khan is about to be... However, your point is a decent one and sometimes we do forget that yes.
Indeed. His record is also grossly overrated but lets keep such matters to the Lounge...these threads get a bit heated when Arsenal fans see them :yep
I think a lot of the criticism Khan gets in relation to Thaxton is because, after calling him out and suggesting he couldn't crack an egg, he allowed himself to be withdrawn as Thaxton's mandatory for the British Title.
