More people were actually calling for those fights. Guerrero was in the running to fight Floyd and Floyd said that Alwxander was the front runner to face him. People went crazy. Everyone trashed the thought of that fight and said Guerero was the better fight. Go back and read Marquez's criticism of Floyd in regards to that situation. The same thing happened when he tried to fight Corey Spinos for Spinks' IBF JMW title. People went bizerk and the fight was s****ped.

You can call me a liar all you want, that doesn't mean it isn't true. Go look at the threads from back then, the reaction was very negative to a proposed fight with Alexander. And Floyd has received a ton of criticism just for there simply being rumors of him fighting Khan. But hey, if people want to hype Khan as a legit threat to Mayweather now, then so be it. The story would change after Floyd beat him, but that's nothing new.

No one wanted those fights no one people would have preferred Alexander over Maidana the public voted Khan over Maidana
Two guys who beat him and who does he fighy thats right Maidana not Alexander who beat the breaks off of him nor Khan who also beat him. Please tell me how Maidana was more worthy than those 2 ?

TBH, Maidana had the WBA belt.

I didn't have a problem with that fight, that was an unification bout

Maidana was a current world champ and was coming off a big win. Alexander was coming off a loss to Porter. And you're continuing to ignore the fact that Mayweather was heavily criticized for mentioning Alexander as an opponent. Alexander can't beat Floyd, he's not much of a draw, and that wouldn't even necessarily make an exciting fight. If you disagree with any of the preceding premises than let me know. Otherwise, I'm not sure why would care that Mayweather didn't fight Alexander.

That is exactly what I was going to say. They've kept as far away as possible from any sort of puncher since Garcia.

Sure, I would rather Khan get Mayweather than Berto, but this is stupid.

Only Golovkin is allowed to avoid challenges if he's unifying.

Maidana beat an un proven BELT HOLDER in Broner who was never a successful WW he is not more proven than both Khan and Alexander no matter how you slice it. Khan for a while was not deserving I always maintained that but his two wins over Collazo and Alexander earned him at least serious consideration over people like Maidan,Berto and even Guerrero.

The fact of the matter is you've got Floyd at the top and about 6-7 other welterweights who 'deserve' a shot at him. Khan is in that group.

So do you believe that Alexander has a legit chance at beating Floyd? Do you believe a Mayweather vs Alexander fight would be an exciting fight? Do you believe it's a fight that would get fans excited?
