No he hasn't been stripped because Maidana hasn't enforced the mandatory.

 

Promotors been giving Maidana cash and a new WBA belt all for himself, whys khan happy about that /

 

If this is the case, why is Maidana taking the money rather than enforcing the mandatory against Khan?

 

Khan isnt exactly chasing the other guy running around with the same belt he has !!

Khans promotors like to say things like:

Promoters generally give their fighters cash, hth. Maidana won the belt beating Ortiz. It's is the WBA afterall, so only two champions in a division is quite restrained.

They'll make Khan super champion soon, upgrade Maidana to ordinary champion and have another fight for interim, then everybody can stop whinging about Khan and start whinging about Maidana not fighting whoever the interim is...

 

No, wouldn't he rather face Khan, smash his glass chin and be a top fighter in the division, would lead to bigger pay days than his 'pay-off'.

Basically you're saying Maidana would rather take the money than face Khan.

 

As I undersrtand it, he took the money, a 3 fight deal with GBP, and then he can enforce his mandatory anyway.

If he had have enforced his mandatory GBP would try to screw his career and Khan would probably have vacated anyway so he would have gotten NOTHING.

Remember, they were going to purse bids the week after Khan signed with GBP.

NO I disagree here, seemed like when Maidana was gonna enforce Warren or whomever was the handler at he time was muttering about giving up the title for "ahem bigger fite"
