Amir Khan: I'm The Quickest Boxer In The World!

Yeah I'd agree with that, Gamboa has speed and! power.

Khan sometimes looks faster than what he is because he does not always lock his elbows out when he flurries, he also fights pretty square, and tends to hold his right hand out infront, ALA Wladimir Klitschko, as appose to fighting side on, having the glove on the right hand side of his face/body, what this means, is he probably loses some power, as he does not get the full range of motion into the right hand, but the plus side, is because it does not have to come all the way across the body, due to how square he fights, it gets to the target quicker, albeit at the expense of the extra power he would generate if he were fighting side on, holding his glove on the right side, getting full range of motion into his right hand.

Lastly, Khan looks quicker than what he is because he's a combination puncher. Its easier to look faster when you put your punches together, as appose to someone who throws singles, or throws with power, which Amir Khan doesn't always throw, beit power or single punches.

These small factors make a huge difference in the perception you get.

When I've seen Khan I've never thought "wow, this guy's fast". He's a good fighter but he talks so much about how he's better than this guy or that guy. I think it shows that he lacks some confidence in himself.

That is very likely because you have never:

A. Seen him fight live
B. Seen him up close

His hand speed is on a very high level. He just needs to figure out how to use it well.

 

khan startin to get irritating....from someone who is behind manny, he's not learning how to shut his mouth...if he's quick at anything its ducking prescott....no reason for them to not fight.....folks sayin he just needs a "busy" fight.....well khan ran his mouth about how easy prescott would b so whats the deal

 

I really want to like Khan, but man he makes it hard by saying stupid **** like this.

 

Even when Khan says stuff I agree with, I can't help but hate him even more.

he does have fast hand speed... but is it accurate, effective and delivered with power?

not so when compared to pac's and/or floyd's.

Khan is not gaining fans with comments like that. Even if they happen to be true.

 

Khan is quick, no doubt but I dnt think he is the quickest...Floyd, Pac, Zab and Gamboa imo are all faster than he is.

The kid oozes confidence, alil too much though if u ask me...
