    Judge Nelson Vazquez, Puerto Rico:

"Nelson Vazquez, in all honesty is one of the most experienced judges in the entire world. He's very good. He works mostly for the WBO, but he's worked previous fights for the IBF -- a lot of them.

"Last week, he worked on one of the undercards on the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito in New York. Very, very experienced judge. He's judged a long, long time, since the 1980s."

    It's not conclusive.

    • This point may become irrelevant if the investigation concludes tampering of some sort. Even then, winning a fight beforehand doesn't automatically warrant a bigger purse. Especially if it's a narrow, controversial win. A better purse, yes. But not a bigger one. Did Margarito get a bigger purse against Cotto in their second fight? What about Mosley against Oscar? Or Holyfield against Tyson? And is JMM guaranteed the bigger purse against Pac in the 4th (seeing as though he clearly should have won the 3rd)? There are countless others, but I'm sure you get my point.

Any judge has its price, i think we know that now in boxing.

    115 - 110 is inexcuseble.

One of the downsides of the current scoring system, is that final scores can appear to be very wide of the mark. There were a lot of close rounds which could have gone either way, and in those ones, that particular judge probably saw more for Khan from where he was sitting. With that considered, 115-110 from a reputable judge like that, would not definitely suggest corrupt scoring.
