I started out giving Khan his props for even coming to the states so early, but now he's starting to resembles another British fighter , where he talks ****, and never really has intention of backing it up. Don't get me wrong I don't mind him waiting to fight the top 3-5 140 pounders, but looking to pick on people from smaller weight classes light little Katisdas and the old Casamayor.

Come on Khan one can argue that you're the biggest 140 pounder in boxing today, and now you wanna pick on little guys. i'snt this supposed to be the biggest division is boxing so pick somebody in the top 10 to fight, what's the point of coming to the states if you're going to fight little guys, and tell Freddie to shut his mouth about how good your sparring session with PAC are if your gonna turn *****.

First Calzaghe, then Haye, now Khan, these Brits sure know the art of talking a good game, and ducking, looks to me Khan plans on keeping the ducking legacy a live.

None of the top 140lbers are available July 31st, he will fight Maidana in December so why would they take a needless risk before that fight when they can sell out the Arena against anybody?

July 31st fight won't be in the States either as you've said but in England, Maidana in December will be in the States.

Well okay buddy. You're getting all up in a 23 year old champion's ******* about this, which is a little unreasonable. He wanted to fight his mandataory(maidana) but he can't because the dude is hurt. Bradley and Alexander have scheduled other opponents, so what is the man supposed to do? Taking the Katsidis fight is nowhere near as bad as you think it is. Kats has fought at 140 before, and Khan is a former 135er. Not to mention that Katsidis has the chance of destroying Khan's suspect chin right? I suppose he could take fights with Peterson or someone like that, but why bother when the other kings of the division are taking weaker fighters on as well(like Kotelnik)?

For crying out loud, the lad has only just stepped on to American soil! He's had only one fight, in which straight after he calls out the guy you want him to face, yet you accuse him of not backing up his talk??!! Seriously, where do you people crawl out from!

Alexander is already booked for a fight! Bradley too is booked for a fight! Maidana is out with an injury!

    ^^^^^
This means Khan CAN NOT FACE THEM NEXT! The reason he's opting for Katisidis for this July (which is very soon), is because he's taking the following full month out for Ramadan, which can be very physically and mentally draining for a person. The Katsidis fight is just a warm up bout, until the top 140 pounders are free for one another, and able to arrange this mini competition every one is talking about.

Alexander is not facing Kotelnik by choice, but if you wanna build slow then you can't run your mouth. If your on twitter talking **** about your the best then i'm going to hold you to it. Lets keep it real this isnt another 140 fighter trying to fight Katsidis this is Khan who's already huge at 140.

All I'm saying is I'm starting to see the David Haye in him, I hope it doesn't turn out to be true, and is the fight him, and Madiana signed? cause if not I don't wanna hear about it.

i have many doubts about khan but if he fights katsidis (a hard hitting preasure fighter who is big for the weight) thats NOT a cherry picked fight at all!

He's fighting the top guys in his division and already said he plans to clean up the division which he clearly is planning to. Maidana is injured so they have to take any other opponent. I do agree that they should fight Katsidis but eventually they will, I honestly don't think he will be as shameless as Calzaghe was and just stay in the division fighting scrubs as mandatories and unranked countrymen without unifying.

He's in a far more popular position already and he's much well known to get away with this, the media will surely make it popular if he takes that route, unlike Calzaghe who no one really gave two shits about back when it mattered because he didn't care to let them. He already moved to America for a big fight and so early in his career so there's nothing to doubt here, if the right time comes for big fights it will eventually happen.

Mentioning David Haye is silly really, Haye went to France to fight Mormeck for his belts even though he had a version of a title too and went to Valuev for his belt as well and we all know how Valuev made a career getting gift decisions. Add to that the fiasco that was Mormeck vs Bell II in France yet Haye overlooked it and still went. Haye is all about entertainment really, whoever he fights. His courage should never be in question.

It is all well and good calling out a fighter is injured, would he be calling him out if he wasn't injured though?

He's keeping busy, he's planning on being in the ring 2 months after last fighting and you are slating him for that? Better to fight a 'smaller' Katsidis 2 months after beating a top 10 light-welter than not fight at all.

He's already beaten two top 10 light-welterweights in Kotelnik and Malignaggi, the last of those 2 months ago. Now he wants to get back in the ring 2 months later and you are having a go?

And smaller guys? Khan was a lightweight himself less than 18 months ago. He gets criticised for not facing a puncher, he looks to get in the ring with a noted puncher who just obliterated a top British prospect and now all of a sudden, no mention of that, or the fact he's a world-class fighter, he's merely 'small' now.

He's keeping busy for a fight with Maidana, a fighter he's already expressed an interest in front of tonnes of people on HBO, so he wouldn't say it for no reason. Maidana is currently injured, and so that can't happen.

You want him to get in the ring with a top 10 light-welterweight? Let's look at the Ring's rankings.

Champion: Manny Pacquiao - Self-explanatory, not going to happen.
    1. Tim Bradley - Has a fight scheduled at '47 the same month.
    2. Devon Alexander - Scheduled to fight Kotelnik the month after.
    4. Marcos Maidana - Injured.
    5. Juan Urango - Not long off a beaten from Alexander. Is this a fight he should really take and people really want to see? Already shown that he'll always be taken by the top guys. Coming off a loss and not a big draw.
    6. Kaizer Mabuza - Who? Exactly. Not a draw, unknown quantity. Doesn't make sense.
    7. Paulie Malinaggi - Just beaten.
    8. Andriy Kotelnik - Already dominated, scheduled to fight Alexander.
    9. Mike Alvarado - Again, a nobody in mainstream boxing circles. Not a draw, not an attractive fight.
    10. Lamont Peterson - Has expressed an interest in movely up to '47. Fresh off a dominant loss to Bradley, 'left-overs' like Urango would be.

Think the OP just has an agenda vs brits, is Khan any worse than mayweather ducking pacman or vice versa or Hopkins when he ducked calzaghe or any of the other COUNTLESS times when people fight whats available instead of who fans think they should fight.
