Ok, why should this thread end if:

    - No one can justify Amir Khan calling out an injured guy.
    - Amir Khan wants the #1 and #2 seeded guys to fight 1st in his 140lb "tourney."
    - Devon Alexander gets discredited for HAVING to take the Kotelnik fight after trying to get fights from a number of fighters, including Bradley.

First off, Khan KNEW Maidana was hurt when he called him out, who does he think he is? And in tournament fashion, the #2 and #3 seeds would fight, and according to the world, Devon Alexander and Amir Khan fall there. That's why he wants the Bradley/Alexander first, and why he "called out" Maidana.
Unfortunately now we all know the truth because Bradley said that Alexander wasn't "enough of a draw" for him to make a fight with. So it's obvious that Bradley wants Khan, and no part of Devon.

So with Bradley and Khan ducking him in hopes of maybe fighting each other, Judah having problems problems ducking him, Maidana out with an injury, the rest of the top 3 are unavailable. Now Hatton's being fat, Peterson being unable to make 140 anymore, and Alvarez fighting at welterweight who else does he have? He beat Urango and Paulie is gone to WW as well so he might as well get in a FORCED stay-busy fight til someone steps up to him. Mabuza would get raked by Alexander so why bother with him?

What a joke. You guys seriously expect anyone to believe that your hatred of Khan stems from some extremely benign tweets... if that's your standard of highly offensive arrogance from a professional athlete you have something else coming.... for me that's some pretty mild **** right there. BTW what he said was in response to all the hate he gets anyhow... as far as I'm concerned the dude should push away and throw it in the haters face as often as possible. The other thread proves that a tonne of the hate directed toward him (granted its mostly Brits who fall in this category) is racial in nature...

What a load of ****. Now everybody is saying he called Maidana out because Khan knew he was injured? Lol. So I guess Khan is expecting him to stay injured forever? ****ing dumb pricks. Khan will be fighting on July 31st in England, this is nothing more than a "keeping busy" fight. Everybody already knows that there isn't enough time to train for the top guys at 140, and all the top guys are busy or injured anyway! I have no idea why this is such a problem, this hate for Khan is ****ing stupid!

He didn't set a date, did he? He called out Maidana said he would like to fight him next. Maybe he didn't plan another fight at this point, but why would he call him out on HBO and then not fight him? When Maidana comes back, if Khan didn't have an intention of fighting him he'd have a lot of explaining to do.

And no, he's fighting Maidana because the public wants it. People have been criticising him for not facing punchers, people have been saying he's ducking Maidana, he obviously wants to put the record straight.

Yeah you're right...Lets all take it easy on Amir Khan, He's only 23 years old and just had his first fight on US Soil. Everybody calm down...You are so right. What we really should do is try to get Devon Alexander who is also 23 years old with 4 less fights than Khan, and more tested than khan...we should create thread after thread calling Alexander OVERRATED and for being a ***** for not switching his date to fight the TOP fighter in the division in Timothy Bradley in Bradley's Hometown July.

Lets leave Amir Khan alone...He deserves to fight a lightweight after beating the "rough, tough, hard-hitting" Paulie Malignaggi. We should demand more from fighters "like" Bradley and Alexander. :-(

Here's a better idea, why not credit Alexander for what he's done rather than being negative about Khan? Who cares about fights. Alexander turned pro before Khan did, all extra fights means is that in the time they've been pro, Khan has been more active.

Khan has had to work his way back from a devasting defeat aswell, and in such a small amount of time, he's dominated a decent enough world champ in Kotelnik and beating another decent fighter in Malignaggi fresh off a really good win himself.

Alexander has done good things aswell, but Bradley got to Witter before him and Witter is past his best, Urango too has been beaten easily at the top level before like Malignaggi has.

There resumés aren't that much different in quality, the only thing is Alexander is unified as Urango happened to have a belt, but again all he was is a belt-holder. Malignaggi may have beaten Bailey had he been given the chance and had the belt, and Khan may be unified. We're really splitting hairs here.

Khan wanted Maidana before the injury. He called out the winner of Bradley-Maidana when it was on..

He is taking on another fight so soon after the PM fight (so to get it in before ramadan), he has just fought in another dudes backyard in his hometown and has openly stated many times that he wants Maidana late 2010.

And now to possibly take on Katsidis, well thats a dangerous fight and Kats looks massive for a 135 fighter an all and can PUNCH. Something that the haters have been saying he hasn't faced too often. You jumping the gun to hate, lets see if the Maidana fight does come off this year, then if not you can spout sh*t. I would give him major props if he took on Kats. I think you're a true hater if you can hate on Khan at this moment in time.

All the top guys wouldn't be so busy if people would take their skirts off when the time comes. Khan knew Maidana was hurt, and the world knows he doesn't wanna get near Bradley or Alexander. When the time comes for that, I'm sure Roach will do it for him. Maidana had a fight with Bradley then he pulled outta the fight with Bradley, so why announce it to the would, "I wanna fight Maidana (even though he had to pull out of a fight with the #1 guy in the division cuz of an injury!") Especially due to the fact that it was RECENT news to the days leading up to his fight with Paulie Malignaggi. You mean to tell me this "twitterbox" wasn't well informed?

****in can it, to be the best you gotta beat the best. Maidana and Alexander (with Bradley dodging Alexander in favor of Maidana) are taking that route, whether its easy or not, and Amir ISN'T, sheltered test fights don't make you king. Calling himself the king at 140 when he runs away from the top guys or calls them out when they're hurt is rediculous, and still hasn't been justified other than your need to call me your favorite food on a Saturday night. Save your stupidity for the court jester rehearsal.

No man you are getting it wrong, as soon as Maidana's back is better Khan will fly to Pakistan and go hiding in the mountains and quit boxing.

If he fights in July after only just beating Paulie you gotta give him some props. As a boxing fan the more fights I get to see the better. Plus, Khan is always exciting and will be because of his chin etc...

Seems like the boy can't do no good in some people's eyes (seems to mostly be racist Brits - shame really, we should support our own, especially someone with the obvious talent of Khan).

Blah. This act is getting old; someone creates a hate thread of Khan (founded on something incomprehensible), then I and some others post some reasonable defence of the boy and get ignored. He gets more hate then Haye, yet Haye to me seems to deserve it more for running his mouth then running away.

You know what...you're right. Alexander hasn't fought anyone. He is truly untested. Maybe one day, he'll be as tested and tough as the Best fighter in the division...AMIR KHAN.:-(
