I thought Paulie movement and sleeknees, was the only thing that kept him lasting 11 rounds. You slow and don't move (eg..MAIDANA).You will get a barraged of power punching reigning down on ya head at will with speed from KHAN.

I'm sorry. It's just the Paulie is a tranny comments got to me a guess. I know he talks a lot. But "Tranny" and "*****." Come on the guy is clearly one of boxings toughest guys. And he fights tough for a guy with little to no power. I shouldn't have generalized.

I don't know if he was sleek. He's movement wasn't at his best there. He was getting hit cleanly a lot.

I didn't like how he would plant too much. He got stationary at times and just ducked down. It seemed Roach recognized this habit right out of the gate. As much as he can annoy. The man is a top notch trainer. He really exposes habits. Khan was more aggressive than I thought he would be, and caught Paulie with a bunch of right hands as Paulie went back almost in a straight line.

Thanks Boo. I know we've sort of both been there recently with our guys (Although Pavlik is a more accomplished fighter. You know what I mean).

In an essence I get you, but at the same time it's hard when you're being beat at your game and you have little power. What can he do? He needed more lateral motion... but at the same time. Khan's control of range, and jab that we thought was a little flick to set up his right wasn't really that... his jab was much more of a force and dominant than I expected. It improved big time, and that showed.

He's got a big weakness for sure.

I think his chin probably improved ever so slightly at 140. More leg-strength and muscle can only help. He's got such a lanky body it had to...

Again; though, he has more to prove. But he's a great talent and a solid fighter with good skills. This can't be denied.

It was great seeing the fighters chatting at the end. Huge respect for pauli made no excuses at all. Even pre fight he wasnt talkn that much trash its just people having that stereotype of him. Pauli is just a misunderstood guy I guess but always enjoy his interviews. Nice thread Pete

Thank you, I agree too. Khan definitely earned his respect, and Malignaggi seemed grateful for the opportunity. Khan was pretty good. :good

Pete, Paulie's speed is still there...He just bases everything off movement...

Unlike a guy like mosley who can afford to trade with guys, because he has power, and 9 times out 10 is the faster man.....Paulie has no power...

Paulie didnt fight like paulie at all, some of that has to due with Khan properly using his height and reach advantage.....(paul williams, hope your watching)......When you take paulie's movement away he will get beat most of the time....looked at his lack luster performances against ngoudjo and n'dou 2......He stopped moving after about round 7.....

He didnt move at all tonight.....but Paulie did the best he could, and tried to make the fight, and Khan did what he had to do to win, which is all that matters at the end of the day....

Amir has some elite skills, just wonder what happens when he fights a quality fighter that can pundh.

Im wonderin if Khan is gonna be the 2010s version of Terry Norris. Great wins but unsuspecting losses every now and then.

Paulie's greatest asset is his speed. I think he was surprised at how Khan beat him to the punch all through out the fight.

Not offended at all, I didn't really care lol. Anyway, I think Paulie's leopard trunks gave it away.
