He adjusts his style according to his opponent(since joining Roach), He was very much in and out against Kotelnik, Barrera was more of a brawl and nothing could really be gauged from salita fight. His inside game isnt his strongest aspect but he is a 'boxer', thats his style, he showed great sweet pea ducking and diving against kotelnik -in flashes. so he can mix it when the situation requires. But right now he sticks to a gameplan and that normally involves using his incredible speed to outpoint his opponent. He is getting more power too, Malinagi will have never seen speed like he is going to see saturday. i expect khan ko4
Top post. It's precisely this reason why his handlers have been wise to not put him in with a power house like Maidana just yet, or a crafty guy like Bradley. He's far from the finished product, and is still a work in progress. Give it 2/3 years, and it will be interesting to see how his game has developed. Another important thing to note, is that under Roach he's not actually had that many rounds. It's only been 4 fights, with 3 of them ending way too early. Other than Kotelnik which was a good 12 round fight, the others were: ***an: 2 rounds without Roach in his corner. Just a confidence builder Barrera: A fight cut down to 5 rounds due to the horrible cut Barrera had; thus rendering him unable to fully test Khan Salita: 74 seconds. Dude may as well not even turned up
