"There's a reason the handlers of titleholder Amir Khan -- Golden Boy and trainer Freddie Roach -- want no part of Maidana, even though as an interim titleholder, he is the mandatory challenger for Khan. The Khan camp went to great lengths to avoid the mandatory by making some bogus deal to keep him away from the money-generating Khan for some time while allowing him to keep his belt. The whole thing was disingenuous to have them both keep belts without fighting each other, but the terrible WBA approved, which was no big surprise."

Of cource I have to wait for Khan to fight guys like Bradley, Alexander, and Maidana. He's a protected fighter.

Don't be stupid. Even Khan himself said that it's almost a done deal that he will fight the winner of Marquez/Diaz.

They're banking on Marquez winning that. Diaz has said he wont move up from Lightweight.

That's not the same as saying there's no money in the fight. HBO seems real interested in the fight. If they put up the money, which I believe they will, the fight will happen.

I wish I were joking, but it's true. The WBA ruled that the winner of Khan/Salita had 90 days to fight Maidana. It's been well over 90 days since Khan beat Salita and that fight is still not even close to being made. The reason for this is because GBP made a deal with the WBA and Maidana that allowed Khan to not fight Maidana for 3 fights or 1 year. I believe Malignaggi was the first fight for that agreement.

If Diaz wins then GBP will have to think of someone else, they are banking on JMM winning.

    I hope Diaz wins.

Rafael can't simply make **** up like that. ESPN would be sued for libel if he did. That statement wasn't even stated in one of his blogs. It's legit. Answer me this, why does Khan still have his belt even though the WBA mandated that he had to fight Maidana 90 days after he be beat Salita?

He'll fight the Guerrero/Casa winner or possibly Ortiz if Diaz wins.

It doesn't really matter who Khan wants to fight. At the end of the day it's down to Roach and GBP.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Khan facing Marquez next and not Maidana. So even if I'm wrong, Khan has already faced his voluntary defense and should be facing his mando. Yet and still he's not going to do that, and he's still keeping his belt. Why is that?

Well that settles it, Khan said it on his twitter account so it must be true. I can pretty much guarentee you he won't be fighting Bradley in Dec.
