I believe this kid has all the talent, but is very vulnerable. As crazy as it sounds his vulnerability makes him even more EXCITING to watch. Even before he was a champion he filled up arenas. This is very rare for a prospect, to be the main attraction on a card and fill up an arena. I believe with careful matchmaking this guy can become a REAL BOX-OFFICE attraction like HATTON and DE LA HOYA. Do you guys agree?
Yes, in Britain he already is. In America he would have to be matched against a top US boxer or a global superstar.
I would prefer his career to move on from this point with solid opposition. There is nothing that can be done when Warren and Roach puts him in matches we don't want to see (Morales, Barrera) etc. He's already on PPV but he doesnt generate that many sales does he, also the last card Warren put up was disgraceful, how can he put the Olympians before the others. That wasn't worth £15 for crap. Amir Khan is only worth £15 if he fights very good opposition and the card contains decent action fights, otherwise he should be on Sky Sports 1 in in the UK.
it's possible... but how can you be that big of a deal if you don't ever knock anyone out?? the only people that are gonna watch a real talented boxer with NO power are real boxing fans. i don't think he will ever have that big of a following without knocking fighters out at the championship level.
Don't understimate a British fighter's fanbase. If you could classify Hatton as a US PPV superstar, Khan might have a shot if he settles into his weight a little more and takes some big fights.
I'm a Khan fan (nice kid), but I don't see him becoming a PPV sensation in the US ever- and, honestly, I don't know that any fighter is going to become a PPV sensation in the US anytime soon, as no one watches boxing. But if there were going to be a PPV sensation, he'd have to be someone willing to go to war. Say what you will about DLH, the guy went to f*&king war. Leonard: went to war. Tyson: went to war. Floyd isn't a PPV sensation, but he is a virtuoso, and he plays the villain card. I'm afraid Khan is s*&t out of luck .
He will never become a PPV king this nonsense has to stop. He may have a good fan base but from there to be a PPV king? come on, lets be realistic here. JCC Jr is more marketable than Khan is in the U.S.:-(
No ****. This glass jawed fraud is gonna get laid out cold again as soon as he faces a decent puncher again!:yep
I used to think so. You know, I remember Hoya all the way back to the Olympics and yes, there was the question as to Hoya's chin back then. He was vulnerable and it added to the excitement he brought to the fights. Very much like Khan. The difference is Hoya never got ktfo in round 1 against a nobody.
You suck **** too ****** boy... Khan is a world champ... you are a nobody slagging him on the internet **** nut....
