I'm a bit shocked at Dans rants...

Instead of looking to Prescott, Khan ridiculously claims that he has "slipped off his radar." The reality is that, after the way Prescott knocked him out, Prescott is probably never far from Khan's mind. Maybe that's the reason he seems to want nothing to do with him again.

this is starting to annoy me, not sure what the Khan team are at but it looks very like they're trying to get a great payday in the UK against established but inferior cheap opposition. makes great business sense for them but it's annoying to watch and listen too, particularly given the fact that they're negotiating through the media and getting guys hopes up. It looks like some guys were never on their radar but were only mentioned to get a better deal from the 'real opponent'.

i wonder what weight this will be taking place at? will murray be moving up to lightwelter or will khan be going back to lightweight... i reckon it'll be the former rather than the latter....

for the record - i think khan would win comfortably. murray's name sake andy murray has expressed an interest in fighting him recently. i wouldn't blame john for avoiding andy, no point in taking a risk when your on the verge of getting a world title shot.

if this happens to come off i'd like to see murray v murray afterwards.

Not too bad. Beating murray would ensure he'd beaten the last of his domestic rivals.

The only issue i'd have is murray hasn't fought at the weight before has he?

Still tho it's an alright fight. As long as he fights either prescot, peterson or murray i'll be happy.

 

Murray's a big lightweight. He's had a few fights at 140 before. He's even gone as high as 147. Size/weight won't be an issue for him.

But with that said, I'm not too thrilled by this. I can't see how it'll help for Bradley. I prefer Peterson.

 

Murray wants none of Khan.

 

I wouldn't really mind Murray, there would be a heated build up to it, would be cool

 

Pretty obvious what those slimey *******s at Golden boy are doing. They're going through the entire list and playing them off in the media to see who will down to the lowest price. They should really stop being greedy *******s over fairly small percentages of the total purse and simply fight the best guy, the most credible guy, and also the guy that is going to help Khan the most. That has to be a consideration.

 

Peterson is the best opponent for Khan IMO

 

I know he had troubles making weight before but didn't know he'd fought that high.

Well murray can put the pressure on when he wants to and he has decent pop. When he turns up in shape he has proved a level about his domestic rivals and him vs peterson would actually be a 50/50 fight I believe. Peterson proved he could hang at that level, but only after being shut out by bradley. Murray is just as credible an opponent in my eyes.

Obviously with judah, ortiz, marquez and berto all being unavailable, the next best would be prescot followed by peterson/murray.

Plus they were both prospects at the same time and it's always good to see any unfinished domestic fights get resolved imo. It will exercise the ghost of thaxton in my eyes.

 

now eveyrone knows ive never been a khan fan but i'd really like for him to beat one of those 2 assholes who i dont remember their names.

they were on sky sports about 2 years ago it was a domestic fight the loser comes to the mic and says "the winner (he uses the name of the winner but i cant remember who it was) is a great fighter and he would beat khan, you know i would beat khan too, we'd both beat khan" atsch
