Ive heard a few rumours from different people that Amir Khan was knocked out sparring Quillan at the wildcard gym. Does anyone know if this is true or have a source?

Don't know if it's true, but it figures... Quillin isn't exactly featherfisted and quite a bit heavier as Khan.

I dont like Khan but only a fool would beleive this, is type of rumour released on purpose not long before s fight to give false impressions to the opposition. Im sure in the day of the mobile phone that if he was KO it would have bene on youtube fast.

Don't think it would be a smart move to give Paulie even more confidence in this case. :huh

I've heard from a very reliable source that undefeated middleweight Peter Quillin (18-0 72% KO ratio) did in fact put Khan on his seat with a body shot, but it seems that his chin stood up to the test.

    :-(

Don't any of you see how ridiculous the rumour is?...what possible reason would Roach have Khan sparring with a big and slow MW/SMW when he is preparing for a slickster at 140? Jesus Christ, this board gets worse :patsch

Khan sparred with fast fighters before the Kotelnik and Salita fights.

I think Roach is like Richardson or Floyd Sr. in that he doesn't always try to get a like-for-like sparring partner. Mosley is sparring with bigger, slower guys and Hatton sparred with Lara.

Anyway, Khan cannot take body punches. It's always been a weak point for him and I think he's most likely to get stopped by body punches, considering his high, tight guard under Roach.
