Yes thats possible as well, but I dont want to see that fight, they afced once pac won thats enough. Cotto after margarito should go for something else then pac. I thoughthis contract with toprank ended in 2 fights by the way, do you know if thats true?

He is a multi weight belt holder, alot better than anything that walkover peterson will be.

Ortiz hits harder than bradley and alexander. I think he'll land more than Maidana as he's quicker.

I ust see Ortiz buckling khan then finishing the job.

(Although mind you that was my prediction against maidana, i've just not jumped on the Khan has a good chin bandwagon) As soon as maidana landed cleanly khan bucked. luckily it was in the 10th and Maidana was knackered and couldn't finish him off.

Ortiz won atleast 6 of the first 7 man, i gave peterson only the last 3 rounds. He got a gifted draw.
Only thing that sucks about ortiz is that he ahs glass heart he has the skills to be good and he would definitely be a better match up vs khan then peterson will be. Golden boy wants to make this match up later if ortiz ever happens to get his act together and become a topfighter they will have a big money superfight, peterson doenst have this potential.
I dont think he will by the way but thats the reason thsi matchup is chosen over ortiz. Ortiz should have just gotten the decision, guess its his own fault woulde have been better if he finished him.

Guzman was actually touted to be a possible Khan foe, but he didn't make weight (Shocking, I know), so they threw him out the picture (This was reported by Dan Raf, I think).

I don't really have a problem with this fight.

Peterson is a guy who shouldn't be overlooked and has the ability to take advantage if Khan is distracted or not motivated during training for this fight.

Khan late stoppage is likely but Peterson squeeking out a close decision is not completely out of the realm of possibility here

I see Maidana as a more skilled fighter. Just look at what Ortiz did against Peterson and Campbell which suggests he is actually better than Maidana.

Maidana has good foot-speed, a JAB (Shockingly), he cuts the ring off well and could not get Khan out of there.

I don't believe Ortiz is all that people say he is at all.

If Maidana couldn't get Khan out with all them punches in the 10th, then what makes you think Ortiz can? :think

Oh so you're basing it on being that one big shot?

I base it more on what Roy Jones said, about it being the accumulative effect of where one of them right hands would eventually get to Khan. From rounds 1 to 9, count how many right hands Khan takes. He takes them, it was just that they were tired and the accumulative effect of that punch got to Khan, simple as.

I feel Khan would murder Ortiz. Ortiz back-pedal's, which is terrible for his style, because he's rubbish on the backfoot.

He woudn't come at Khan the way Maidana did.

Bingo. This is the reason why they aren't matching them two.

I don't know, I have to look back. After the KD's Ortiz scored, he was getting schooled. He got hit by some bigs shots. I have to look back and get to you though.

I did think Ortiz may have squeezed it to get an SD though.

Peterson is a safe fight, if only because Roach has enough tape on him from Ortiz and Bradley's fight to figure out a strategy for Khan.

Had Ortiz won his last two fights, I would be inclined to say that Khan was fighting Ortiz's leftovers, but rather, is basically going around avenging Ortiz's defeats, something GBP will use to their advantage by, at some point in the future, matching up the two fighters.

That will only happen though if Ortiz improves mentally.

I just think on paper it looks like it should be an easy win for khan. And i'm not convinced. Ortiz can bang. i just think Khan should be weary thats all.
