He can say what he likes, he don't pick his opponents.

I don't like Freddie Roach, but Amir Khan deserves credit for going over to America and fighting the best in his division.

Pity he won't be fighting any of them. Khan is all talk.

He has not done that yet, granted Paulie is a step up in class from his last couple of fighters but its not exactly hard to step up in class from them.He is not in the class of Maidana, Bradley or alexander though. The questions about his chin will once again go unanswered if he beats Paulie.

It's hard to know what to believe with Khan.

He was protected by Frank Warren while saying he wanted to fight the best, then when it looked like Warren was setting him up with the big fights he wanted (both Warren and Shaw said they negotiated a fight with Bradley) he leaves Warren to sign with Golden Boy, who appear to be protecting him from the likes of Maidana while Khan continues to say he wants to fight the best.

As someone said, talk is cheap but he would get credit from me if he did fight them.

No, i was replying to the post which said fair play to Amir for fighting the best in the division, and was saying that he had not done that yet.
And why do Khan fans keep bringing up his age, yes he is young but he is also a World champion, are people supposed to except him defending that belt against Solita's and Malignaggi's for the next few years while he gets a little older and more experienced, then start defending it against the likes of Bradley?

He showed a lot of enthusiasm in that interview, suggesting he wants to take on all the names in the 140lbs division, and I have no reason to not believe him. As I say, Amir Khan deserves credit for going over to the States and fighting good level competition, and Paulie was considered one of the best Junior Welterweights in the world a few years back, and is coming off his career best win. Goodluck to Amir Khan, he comes across well in this video.

Not really. Warren had agree the fight with Maidana and then Khan left him, apparently to "fight the best," then Goldenboy paid Maidana not to fight Khan for 3 fights or something??? and then Khan signed to fight Paulie.

i bring up his age because he has time on his hands so he doesn't need to drastically make a jump from ordinary fighters to the best fighters. if he was a little older than i would understand people wanting to see him going up in class quicker then what he is doing now. For example, gamboa is 28 and he's still seen as a prospect. You will notice that he's opposition level has been pretty good mainly because he has not got the luxury of taking his time like Amir has. So do you really blame Amir even if he decided to take his time before he fought the elite? (Even though im pretty sure he won't wait that long)

Maidana the monster? The man who was beaten by Kotelnik?

I'll say it one more time and I'm leaving, Amir Khan deserves credit for going over to America and fighting top flight competition. Another British boxer from way back when should have done the same thing.

Khan deserves a lot of credit for coming over to the States to fight, in NYC, no less. Fortunately for him, Malignaggi doesn't have any money or power behind him, so Khan won't have to worry about getting robbed if it goes to the cards. That said, I think he'll beat Paulie fairly easily and probably stop him.
