'If you look at boxing and MMA - why is MMA and UFC surpassing boxing? Because they're putting the better fights on, they're putting the fights on that people want to see and these are just joke fights what Floyd Mayweather is doing,' Khan said.

'He's going to be getting a good cheque but it's hurting boxing isn't it? it could do long-term damage to his credibility.Boxing fans are going to buy the fight, think it's going to be a good fight, Mayweather is going to go in there and destroy the guy straight away (and) people will say it's a mismatch

Details of if or how fans can watch the contest on TV have yet to be confirmed but Khan claimed: 'Those that bought the fight are going to hate on it and (think) "why did we buy the fight?" - but they'd be stupid to buy the fight - and then they're all going to hate boxing and then when there is a good fight happening they're not going to buy it because they think boxing is a joke.'

This is a guy who has just fought Greco and Samuel Vargas and he's here questioning a ATG's credibility.

Has this man(Amir Khan) any supporters left? If you are out there, show yourselves. I would like to hear how you justify this fraud's career.

    Agreed.

You simply cannot conduct a poll ON YOUR OWN WEBSITE, have Khan win the majority vote, and then not fight him.

Especially when it was only out of Khan himself and Maidana!

Talk about how tough the MM fights were for Floyd all you want, but Khan (although lacking in IQ, just like MM) would have gave Floyd kittens with his speed and output.

Also, Floyd should just step into the MMA world if he wants to keep fighting MMA fighters.

    1) He'd get way more bank if he did that than the money he gets from bringing an MMA guy over to Boxing.
    2) He also knows that he could get a 3-5 fight contract and not win one. If he can't get an MMA guy out of there in a few rounds, what do you thick would happen if the boot was on the other foot? It would ruin his Boxing pay day's for good because people have now seen him lose.

I honestly cannot wait until he actually stays retired.

I also think that if he came back and fought a top dog like Thurman, Porter, Spence or Crawford that he'd get seriously hurt.

Mayweather's career - as great at he is - has been manufactured since leaving prison in 2012. He went for the cash first and put his legacy a firm second and Showtime were complicit.

However, there are enough dumb-dumbs out there (like MVC) who will pay anything to watch a Mayweather fight.

Khan hits Floyd more often than any other fighter would have.

Not saying he would have won but Floyd gets hit.

    Peace.

MVC must be an undercover mod or paid poster. No way he is real.

Mayweather's career post 2007 has been all about the money.

He could have a had a trilogy with Manny in their primes had it been about legacy. It festered for years because of the money involved.

Fighting MMA guys in Boxing (and not even faring that well, IMHO) proves he is about Money first and Legacy last.

It's not really fair to point the finger at Mayweather for being a boring, technical boxer. He shouldn't have to change to his style to appease fight fans who just want to see people beat the **** out of each other. His career was excellent, even though I didn't like him much because of his personality, but he shouldn't have to jeopardize himself and his legacy for people that don't appreciate the sport anyway. This is boxing, not backyard fist fighting.

So why even conduct a poll if you have no intention of fighting khan?

    Big win? Hardly big, mate.

Besides, Floyd created the poll on his own forum - and Khan won it. HE put that out there, not a magazine or forum.

    You didn't answer the question.

It was a big win, because Broner was unbeaten and prompt up to be the heir to Mayweather's throne.

The hype for Broner was unreal.

Maidana as the big underdog shattered those dreams for good.

Khan was just looking for handouts, he was acting like an entitled spoiled brat, disrespecting Floyd's old man, why do business and offer a big pay day to a brat that was coming off a big defeat?

AAs for the poll, Mayweather should have known it would be flooded by the rotherham boys. But it's hardly a promise.

It's no different to a boxer asking the crowd in the arena, after the fight is finished who they would like to see them fight and then not going along with it.

And we've seen that numerous times, Khan has even done it himself and then not bothered fight who the fans requested for. Joshua has also done it, yet it's never held against them.

Khan was all wrong for Floyd. I think he would’ve got through that defense far too often for Moneys liking. Would it have been enough to win? You know what I think it could have been. Khan would’ve got hit a lot too with counters but we know Floyds hands ain’t got that KO power anymore.

The question is, could Khan soak those counter punches up without getting KO’d? If he could then I can see him winning. Floyd knew this and didn’t want none
