What a boring, uninspiring, low risk prospect this fight is. What are they hiding?

He desperately needed rounds for his first comeback and he did the job in 40 seconds. I can see him putting this lad away quickly too.

Feels like smoke and mirrors this comeback.

 

I like Matchroom but the way Brook and Khan are being matched is BS.

Just being fed weak opponents due to wanting a Brook v Khan fight down the line.

Neither are fighting an opponent which actually increases their worth in there respective divisions.

Brook winning tells us nothing about he would perform against the top 154lb fighters.

Khan beating Vargas tells us nothing about Khan's chances against the top WW fighters.

Both fighters should be facing better opponents than they are.

 

All I can think of is they wanted a gimme 1st time round but thought Phil Lo Greco would last longer than he did. So now they put Khans name in to boost the brum show and hopefully get him some rounds against this guy - Does Vargas have the same manager as Phil?

I suppose this week match making is either a sign that Brook Khan is next after this or they are just trying to take the path of least resistance. Beats up some lower tier fighters and then a title shot on the back of name recognition. I can kind of understand it with Khan he's been fighting decent level comp for years and only had 1 round after a bad KO but it's underwhelming, to say the least.
