Reading the BN and i see a quote from Khan which basically says ''Me and Manny have similar styles, no defence, all offence'' (paraphrasing). To me that's the clearest sign that he's on his way out of the Wildcard. I cannot see him staying there personally it seems like he's been annoyed at the lack of contact time between him and Roach on a one to one basis as he's always playing second fiddle to Manny..

He also hints that he'd be interested in linking up with TMT Promotions.

So with this latest indication that Khan is leaving the guidance of Roach who do you think he will go to realistically?. This could be your 'You Called it'' moment ;).

*Keep the hate and cussing out of this thread please :good*

    Nazim Richardson.

Would have liked to seen him with Manny Steward though.

Duane Bobick went with Eddie Futch, George Benton and Joe Frazier.

He still added nothing to his game defensively. Neither will Khan wherever he goes.

i thought he would of left roach but there is word from his people that they are trying to secure a JMM fight so i cant see him leaving roach getting a new trainer then straight in with JMM, if he fights marquez he will be staying with roach maybe someone else might be there also who knows, the whole khan team might not be well organised and not really know what they are doing because trying to change trainers whilst chasing a JMM fight wouldnt be too clever

That's interesting, TBH though is Roach the best person to be with when fighting JMM though?. I know JMM has Manny's number but Freddie isn't exactly full of wisdom when it comes to breaking the code so to speak..

Unless Khan takes a look at himself first and foremost it dosen't matter where he go's, again you get the feeling Khan is neglecting his faults, looking for excuses and blaming whoever happens to pop into his head at that time.

He should **** America off for a while and spend some time living humble, best thing that could happen to him, imo.

I think Manny Steward is the best bet. Doubt he will work with him though, just something tells me they aren't on each others radar.

But Steward would have Khan whipped into defensive shape, or at the very least he would remove that hideous habit of Khan's where he drops his right every time he throws a left. I mean that's a novice mistake and has got him sparked out twice already.

I can't see him working with any British trainers neither so to be honest, I have no idea who he'll go with. But Steward is definitely his best choice IMO.

no he is far from it nacho has roachs number all day imo, whats worse then? keeping roach who has made you what you are over the last few years or change trainer for the toughest fight of your career whilst coming off 2 losses?

the issue is they shouldnt be going for JMM first off, second thing is to change trainers and take an easier fight. khans team being greedy though might not want to take an easier fight stepping out of the limelight

Khan needs to learn 1. Defence & 2. Ring intelligence. Roger May is out of the question for a number of reasons, ive always had great respect for the brother Nazim Richardson.

Who the **** knows, you cant be gung ho and have **** defence and chin, Khan to me still fights like an amateur, 1 - 2 in and out. Kell Brook would stop him in my opinion, watch out for the left hook!

Yeah I think he'll go with Richardson. I think it's a good fit for him personality wise, and this is very important IMO. For example, Khan and either of the Mayweathers would be a horrendous match. There'd be no chemistry there at all and I reckon a guy like Khan would find it very tough to be in that kind of atmosphere.

"man, you better keep that mufuggin guard up foo! or you gon get knocked the **** out again like you did against that prescott fool. i know you dont want that to happen do you? you think you won't go down if you get hit in the chin? maaan look here, you aint got no chin. its made of glass you hear? so keep that muhfuggin guard up foo!

Khan: So Roger, what kind of gameplan are we going to use against Garcia this time

Roger: Gameplaaan? maaaan we aint gon use ****. we aint gon use ****. you know why? cuz skills pay the bills that's why. Skills win fights you can use whatever gameplan you want to, but it don't matter cuz skills is what pay the bills. didn't roach teach you anythin? look here, roach don't know **** about boxin

Khan: yeah but shouldn' we try....

    Roger: what?

Khan; Shouldn't we try to come up with...

Roger: maaan you need to stop mumbling. I can't understand a damn thing you sayin.

Roach has done all he can with Khan IMO, and I think his Parkinsons disease is getting worse, which I first noticed when Khan fought Peterson. If you compare Roach's speech these days to how it was a few years ago there seems to be a big difference.

He must be given a lot of credit because, although Khan is still a basic, one dimensional fighter, he HAS improved a lot under Roach. The guy who was gone in 60 seconds against Prescott was able to win a world title and beat the likes of Kotelnik, Maidana, Malignaggi, and Judah.

A plateau has been reached though, and now Khan seems to be going backwards. More flat footed (which people were calling for), more likely to be drawn into a tear up. I think he's trying to be Manny Pacquiao, and it's harming him.

The Pacquiao circus must be a problem for Khan, but maybe Pac will retire soon. Will Khan stay with Roach and become his main man after Pac retires? I don't know man. I think he'll leave.

I think Roach has done a really good job with Khan and although I do think Roach's health is starting to play a small part, I think its just a case of Amir showing his limitations in ability and in a capacity to learn. It's always easy to blame the trainer,

Maybe a new trainer will make a difference? I have my doubts but I suppose there is no harm in trying.

I think your right, i mean come back and take a tough fight yeah i like that but JMM is another level to Peterson and Garcia even at this stage of his career.

I must say though i haven't seen any improvement in Khan for nearly two years so i think to move is right, i agree with Bill he needs to look at himself because it's a lot down to himself.

Personally he needs a good coach, I loved reading Manny Steward's interview with Ciani last night and it's that sorta guy Khan needs and he needs to stay with the guy. Watch fights with him and take the bling off, stop the posing for photo's all the time and get his head down and understand he isn't a King anymore.

Richardson is a excellent strategist but will he develop Khan? I mean people have raised the question is he just a tactician. I'd like to see what he could do with Khan i must say.

Well, at least he's recognizing he has a problem. Which is a start, at least.

Khan's a religious guy, now Naazim and having Nard around could show him the sides of his faith that he may be missing. Being humble is massive part of this sport.

Hunter is very good for Ward, be a interesting pick if he went for him.
