Im not sure i buy this , i buy what your saying as plausible yes , i.e. Khan may be trying to emulate Pacquiao but as for Roach and Khan being on different pages i don't buy it , if Khan isn't being drilled and told this is what you must do against Danny Garcia and this is why on a daily / hourly basis , thats Freddie Roach's fault , not Khan's , if the attention to detail is lacking , thats Freddie Roach's fault not Khan's , if the game plan has been drilled , and he knows it almost instinctively , he would not of stood there and tried to fight Danny Garcia as a puncher , is there a chance Khan gets tagged and tries to hook and punch with Garcia ??? yes absolutely , but he didn't !! from the word go he stood in the pocket , static , throwing shots with Garcia

That to me is a tell tale sign that there was no " definitive " game plan , yes they both said " there was a game plan " , but the difference between stating a game plan and drilling your fighter so much that it becomes a 2nd nature is big

Roach has to have the finger pointed at him too , Khan fought the wrong fight from the first exchange and that happened on his watch , a portion of the blame lies with him IMHO

 

Khan is just thick as pig ****, that's the problem.

 

Roach and Khan are done , when something like the Garcia thing happens theres no going back , everything was wrong about Khan's performance and Khan needs to accept it as " it is what it is " and i must look beyond Freddie and this great life i have in L.A. and go back to basics , go back to being told what to do not asked , be a student , be a new guy , be a sponge all these things that Khan is not doing at the wild card

This also rings true in a sense , Tommy Hearns never had a chin !! just because the kid has no chin doesn't mean he can't be successful , Khan's other attributes in the sport can take him a very very long way , tactics , strategy , preparation , all things that have been missing from Khan's performances (Peterson & Garcia) that to me is all i need to know that Roach and Khan have become complacent , as a fighter paying your coach 10% of your purse to be complacent isn't good enough , yes the blame lies with Khan , of course it does , he obviously nows better , but Roach has a lot to answer for too

Nobody is saying Khan is gonna become a defensive wizard at any point in his career , just get the basics in the gym right would be a start , and fight to your strengths , give your opponent the least chance possible of landing a power shot , if that means you run then you run !!! , if that means your hands are glued to your head when you feel the ropes on your back and while you roll out then thats what needs to happen , these are all things Khan has worked on under Freddie Roach in the past , and has displayed in the ring , why has he stopped now ??? complacency , theres no room for it in this sport , and once its happened once its bound to happen again , they need to separate now

Darni, sorry mate but your pissing in the wind, with this new trainer business, unless these changes he is thinking of is to do with himself and himself only, it won't matter, I can't help but think, Khan is looking for excuses and that sacking Roach will make all his faults magically disappear? It don't work like that.

 

I think he knows he messed up too, and by him saying he needs a new trainer, it's like him saying I need help.

 

I suppose its possible, although if history is anything to go by, he's not. I admire the optimism though, time will tell. :good

Amir Khan To Replace Roach With Emanuel Steward?

 

Simple and true.

 

Manny is the best trainer out there for Khan.
But Manny would never be able to work with Team Khan. .
If Amir does go to Manny. He has to leave Team Khan or else i cant see it working.

 

i dont think emanuel steward would be best suited for khan, he's not even devoted in training andy lee, and lees been with him for years

 

Khan is living in denial. The reason he got knocked out by Garcia is because he messed up.

 

Manny Steward can't correct Khan's fundamental flaws.
