Clearly not Jacobs. He's done squat at a high level.
Khan has provided great entertainment to the sport much like Gatti, so he has a better chance though I wouldn't vote for him.

Neither in my opinion. As hall of fame should not be given for participation.

This is the stance I took all along, that yes Khan deserved credit for how well he fought Alvarez, and how competitive that was before he was sparked out, but that how well he was doing was overestimated to the extent that he was winning, which seemed to be the vast majority of posters on here who made the argument that Khan was clearly ahead after 5 rounds.

I mean, the amount of posters on this forum who claimed that Khan was being "robbed" by the judges who didn't have him ahead at the time of the stoppage was the overwhelming majority on here. The Canelo Khan scorecards were often used by Canelo detractors to claim that this was yet another example of judges scoring matches too favorably for Canelo, along the lines of Lara, Trout, GGG, Mayweather, Cotto, Kovalev, etc. That Khan was clearly winning but the judges were giving Canelo rounds that he didn't deserve against Khan.

I'm glad you made this point, that while you can argue Khan won 2 rounds, maybe 3 if you're generous, that the match was very even and it was not Khan clearly ahead at the time of the stoppage. Pimp made the argument that Khan was giving Canelo "fits" before the KO which from your response sounds like you would disagree with, as I would as well. But he was giving Canelo a competitive boxing match, Khan won some rounds on activity like you said and a smattering of flashy shots, none of which seemed to bother Canelo in the slightest but certainly did create some excitement and caused fans to be impressed by what Khan was able to do against Canelo before being sparked out cold.

Competitive yes, deserving of credit for Khan's performance and fighting spirit, yes, but clearly winning against Canelo, no. But the vast majority of this forum would disagree with us, the vast majority here claimed Khan was clearly winning and was being robbed by the judges scoring, which we agree was total BS. Just goes to show how wrong the majority view often is on here.

Neither one of them deserve to be anywhere near the HOF, except as spectators.

Nah, neither one should enter the IHOF. If there is a UKHOF, then Khan should be in it.

I do disagree, though I believe that @Pimp C was just giving you a friendly rhetorical jab.

Canelo took a look at Khan for a couple rounds, then began outboxing him and landing the more significant punches, had established firm control of the bout by the time he lowered the boom.

If his right hand hadn't settled matters as the 6th drew to a close, I would have had Canelo in a 58–56 lead heading into the second half.

I'm not of a mind to comment on other scoring disputes involving Canelo at this moment, I've no interest in massively derailing this thread, but the majority here were certainly seeing the Canelo-Khan bout through jaundiced eyes if the consensus opinion is that Khan was winning the fight up until the KO.

what absolute nonsense. your profile says aged 18 so this explains why you dont have a clue. youre talking about a time when you had just been born or werent even born!

when khan came on the scene, audley harrison had just won olympic gold the previous olympics. and Calzaghe and Hatton were killing it in the pros, both top 10 p4pers, with Froch and Haye on the way up , and numerous other uk world champs

only way khan gets in is if some middle east rich guy gives some sly envelopes.

absolutely laughable to even consider him.
