Maidana by KO, unfortunately. I heard he's been on Lockdown since he was at Las Vegas. He'll be on form and is hungrier than ever for the win. Khan has been flying all over the place. Maidana by early KO.
khan should outbox maidana for a comfortable UD. but maidana can land a big one and down goes khan. undecided.
Maidana will be lucky to lose by early K.O and save himself from a prolonged savage beating. I think Khan stops him early on or the ref stops it late on after looking at Maidaina's battered and bloody face. Khan by K.O/TKO
I like Khan, and he should win, but I just can't picture in my head Maidana 1. not landing at least one pretty good shot, and 2. Khan just taking it. Kahn's a good outfighter but his defensive movement is rather stiff. It would have to be a domination with a 90/1 compubox outcome.
That is my point precisely. I readily concede that Khan possesses greater overall skill and ring craft. However, while Maidana is no defensive stalwart, neither is Khan. He doesn't exhibit greate head movement nor does he offer the sort of shifty, herky-jerky movements in the shoulders and torso to consistently make people miss. His best asset is his offensive against Maidana. Khan should be able to land consistently, but will he employ those assets to their fullest extent knowing the innate risks involved? In other words, Khan can outpoint Maidana and really work him over if he lets his hands go, but will he given his chin problems?? If he opts for defense first and last, my guess is that Maidana ultimately catches him and KOs him. Now, don't misunderstand, I am not advising Khan to trade shots in a phone booth with Maidana. Rather, he needs to let his hands fly enough to punish Maidana and discourage him from letting his hands go.
Khan can quite easily box circles round Maidana and take a very wide UD. And while Khan's chin may have improved from Prescott, he's always gonna be vulnerable and I can't see him taking many big shots from Maidana, so he could just as easily get KTFO'd as win. Though I think he'll stay on the outside, hit and hold and take it on points. Hope Maidana lands big though
If the fight goes on points - 100% sure that Khan will win - Maidana is still pretty limited skillwise. Maidana has power in his punches but didn´t look too good in Corley -fight. Of course Maidana has notifiable chance of getting a KO victory, but I´ll say Khan UD with wide margin.
Look for Maidana to take Khan out in the first. Don't blink, it could be the first punch Maidana lands.:deal
