The figure i heard for this fight was about 400 000 but obviously still much lower than PBF. What i would say is that whilst people loved Hatton Floyd was somebody you could really hate and the hype for the fight was undeniable. Pac was a much friendlier essentialy non english speaking oponent who at the time of Hatton fighting him wasnt considered the numero uno in the same way he is now or Floyd was then.

Still 400 000 is not to be sniffed at at 5 in the morning. You also have to take into account people had shelled out for Lazcano and Malignaggi so in a way there was no reason to accept Pac at the time for the casual fan to be much bigger in significance than either of the two

I think the purse split for Hatton Pac ended up being 52 48 in Pacs favour essentially it still added up to a nice payday for Hatton betweeen 5-10 million

Oh yeah no doubt. 400,000 is very healthy for the UK I just think people saw the PBF number and thought it would get like 800,000. Floyds talking and the fact both were unbeaten played a huge part in how big that fight was.

Not sure to be honest the figures in the UK for Hatton were about 1.2 million buys for Floyd and 400 000- 300 000 for Pac but I genuinely dont know how much the figures were in the states or how much of a cut HBO would take for the UK rights if any

Edit: I feel like Rob Palmer

Mitchell vs Katsidis on the same day, so Khan had a right to ask for it to be on PPV similar to King Khan and the brit pack
