According to news reports Khan was today banned for 42 days and fined £1,000 for breaking the speed limit driving his BMW Convertible. There was not sufficient evidence to prove Khan was driving at more than 100mph although police told the court the speedometer was "off the clock" at 155mph as Khan was pursued on the M62. The court was satisfied Khan was driving in excess of 70mph and although Khan had denied the charge he admitted during his trial that he may have reached 75mph. Khan had already received a 6 month ban in October 2007 for careless driving resulting in a pedestrian getting knocked over on a crossing and suffering a broken leg. Despite this Khan has apparently recently ordered himself a new car costing approx £60,000 as a xmas present to himself!
Khan's punishment seems quite lenient to me all things considered - this is the offence he previously didn't bother to turn up to court for - not much of a deterrent.
He'll end up wrapped around a tree. Unfortunately there will likely be innocent people hurt or killed in the proccess. He might be a boxer but he's still a chav aswell.
Naw his not really a chav. His got dough and a little bit of class and flair. Not much but a little.Chavs are just dog turds with zero class. They wouldnt get caught speeding in a Beema unless they had stolen it.
You saying that guy Michael Carrol is not a chav? Khan is not a chav but he is a bit of a rude boy. Johanesson, Burns, Harrison, Mitchell, Hatton, Woods, Enzo Macc and Gavin Rees are all chavs. Haye, Calzaghe, Khan, Arthur are not chavs.
Burns isn't a chav you lunatic. Woods? Rees? Enzo? Johanson? Hatton? Rees? ... how are they chavs.... I don't know of mitchell well enough to comment.
75mph is speeding. 155mph is a bit more serious. You would have thought knocking somebody over on a zebra crossing would have taught him a lesson. What a ****.
he's a jumped up little ****.....I can't wait for the day he's matched against someone with the power to smash that glass jaw and end the hype once and for all. I hate all this chat that he's a role model etc. How naive can people be?
There has already been innocent people hurt. Apparently the guy who was the victim in Khan's previous driving ban when he went through a red light has been left a broken man. I remember reading after the case that he needed crutches for 9 months, his femur will be pinned for rest of his life and has had 3 operations on his broken leg which will never fully heal - still uses a stick. Been unable to work since the incident and has been relying on his wife to care for and support him by continuing to work although she is in her 70's.
