Amir Khan sacking Jorge Rubio - the right decision or scapegoating?

Amir Khan sacked Jorge Rubio after 1 fight, 54 seconds of hurt against Breidis Prescott. It was Rubio who suggested Prescott as an opponent. Is the decision by Khan to sack him the right decision as Rubio's judgement cannot be trusted, or is it sour grapes from Khan, blaming Rubio because he was careless and got KO'd fairly?

Or, did Amir get Amir KTFO with his shoddy shitey performance? Surely he himself should've known by now that he needs to be more cautious, more methodical, more clinical, than just standing in front of a known KO artist and slugging it out??

    Scapegoating I'd say.

I don't believe for a second Rubio told him to go out with his hands down, recklessly throwing shots against a guy with a 90% KO record. Khan's ego got him KTFO, along with his horrible egg chin.

If Rubio did really choose him which I find difficult to believe, I reckon there is also some scapegoating going on here, he has to take some blame for that. But if you can't beat Prescott you are nothing anyway.

    Probably scapegoating, though not surprising.

Khan had made extremely positive noises about working with Rubio, and you certainly can't judge any technical quality in a 54-second charge forward kind of effort.

On the other hand, I can understand Warren being so pissed. Known for his extremely careful matchmaking, he listens to a trainer in this case and bam - bye bye unbeaten record and a lot of credibility.

Yeah he was an idiot for standing in front of the puncher but that Rubio guy has got to go,ain't gonna help him much now, maybe except aplauding the moments when he gets KTFO

It is not just about KO and he suggested Prescott as an opponent.

There is more reason behind it.

Hiring Freddie Roach is even better than Rubio.. what is the problem?

Scapegoating but nothing surprising, he should sack his god because he bestowed a horrid chin upon him.

Rubio wasn't really a right fit for him with his chin though. Khan basically needs a trainer that will teach him defense and how to use his height and reach to keep that egg chin protected. The talk of using Roach doesn't seem right either, maybe Goossen would be better.

Khan has a Glass Jaw. One of the worst in Boxing History. He needs to accept that and retire.
