If he has no one else to fight and has done it all, then retire when he wants. If he still got a load of quality opposition left, like Calzaghe did, then he leaves with unfinished business and gets rightly disgraced for. But even more so, because Calzaghe was 37, and Khan saying 28, thats a bit too young.
He also said he will retire at 23 when he first turned pro, if you follow fighters properly you will notice most of them say that then the date keeps changing. This is some ******ed post/thread, if this isn't a poor trolling attempt then you have issues.
So he wants to retire with his mental health, physical health and wealth intact and you are hating on him? Sounds like YOU are the piece of ****. Go to Afghanistan and go and get your head cut off by an insurgent you ****ing moron. People like you are, as Henry Kissinger said, 'useless eaters'. You are using up my valuable oxygen. **** off and die so the rest of us can live a little longer and move one place further up the queue. *rant mode off*
Calzaghe had a load of quality opposition left??? Were you a follower of boxing in late 2008? There was no-one around for him to fight. Dawson was the only possibility, and he was known by only the hardcore boxing fans. He still is relatively unknown 2 years on.
i dont think he retires at 28 , I think the sport retires him. By that point I see Khan being knockout a few times and being told to stop. If a fighters chin is weak at 21 or 22 imagine what it is like when he slows a little and he s not in his prime.
Just when I thought people might be running out of reasons to hate on Khan - now he's being criticised for saying he doesn't want to be left with brain damage! Jesus wept.
This jagoff is the typical gym teacher wanna be that thinks he couldve and shouldve made it and just hates on people that did. If shadow boxing makes you a "fighter" then every person on the planet is a fighter. Have one fight at the world class level and get punched in the face by a real fighter then see how long you wanna stick around for.
