"Watching the fights. #PorterUgas I boxed Ugas in the amateur world championships, beat him by a wide margin with a knock down. He was a tough competitor, would love to face the winner in the future. Good luck to both guys, i got Porter winning..." Is Amir Khan the GOAT or what? What ace in his sleeve will he pull against Crawford?
Yeah but Khan is Brit Level 1. Brit Gypsy Level 2. Brit Level 3. Euro Level 4. Cubano Level American Level
Khan was a brilliant amateur, there's no way around it. He was outclassing seasoned vets in international competition at an age where most fighters are trying not to **** themselves fighting in the golden gloves at the local VFW hall. He's had an awesome pro career too. He's a dingus outside the ring, but I don't understand the hate he gets. Wins over Maidana, Kotelnik, Devon Alexander, Judah, etc. show he's no bum.
Euro Level and Cubano Level are the equivalent of 8 out of 10 and 7 out of 10 respectively, Brit Level is 9 out of 10, and Brit Gypsy Level is the gold standard 10 out of 10. American Level is still a respectable 5 or 6 out of 10 and if it's any consolation all the other countries that are ranked below American Level have a great deal of respect for your nation's fighting prowess. And believe it or not, there have been many American fighters over the years who could hang at Brit Level or if not quite at it just a notch or two below it. Hagler, Hearns, SRL, Moore, Basilio, Greb, SRR, Pep, Ross, Armstrong, Ali, Louis, Marciano, Giardello, LaMotta, Leonard (Benjamin), Charles, Dempsey, Canzoneri, Conn etc. were all real fighting men who could all hang at or close to Brit Level and they are afforded their due respect, ie. the old school fighters from back when men were men, not like all these have gloves, won't travel stacked deck/loaded dice rolling divas from the post-Floyd era. They're not real fighting men and they wouldn't last 10 seconds on the streets where I was raised and they get afforded zero respect from real fighting men.
