If Maidana had the WBC belt then he would fight him. His plan of strategy is to unify and then move up to WW where he would face the best fighter in the world Floyd, and at a more comfortable weight. A rematch would only delay this and a possible fight with Floyd. In my opinion, Khan would UD Maidana even easier next time around. Why you say considering Maidana wobbled Khan in the first? Because he wanted to prove his critics wrong that he didnt have a chin, so he fought a more riskier fight in the latter rounds. This also helped him gain more support in the US. I like Maidana but he simply doesn't have the skill level to beat Khan now. He had his chance and blew it.
Sure he would. And I'm sure Khan purposely put himself in danger of getting knocked out just to prove some critics wrong.
It's all about making a name in the US. So Khan has to have a signiture fight in the US to bump up his stock and the Maidana fight did just that. Khan had to make the fight exciting so took unneccessary risks, and guess what, it paid off. After that fight alot of people were talking about how exciting a boxer Khan is. Say if Khan boxed to a comfortable but boring UD, you think people would care about him?
Oh, I was referring back to when Maidana was his mandatory the first time. Which makes your comparison all the more weaker, I guess. Khan, at the very least, has already faced Maidana and settled business with him. The task of going back to him again is naturally going to be made an uninspiring one, especially when he’s had his heart set on more prized opportunities (Bradley fight). And yes, they both made decisions for the benefit of their careers, but both of them didn’t make unfulfilled promises – which is why Khan and the fans are so annoyed with Bradley. Their fight was practically set in stone, where from mid 2010 to recently, a firm plan was in place to make the number one and number two LWWs fight each other. One man stood by that agreement, whilst the other backed off. Now, we’re not saying Bradley fears the fighter (Khan). We’re just saying Bradley fears the fight (if that makes sense). He feels the fight is a huge risk to his undefeated record. You can call that a smart business move, but I call that going back on your promise and pulling an ‘avoidance’ (often referred to as a duck).
You mean back when Khan took two other fights even though Maidana was his mando? Anyway, if you want to question Bradley's business sense and decision making, that's fine. However, for Khan to call him a coward and a *****, then he was to be ready to be subjected to the same sort of criticism. Khan allegedly just recently begged the WBA to make him fight Maidana again like he was supposed to. Imagine if Mayweather had wiggled his way out of a rematch with Castillo. Khan, and Khan followers, are being highly hypocritical here. It's to be expected, but I'm just pointing it out.
Khan fought his mando Salita then a voluntary paulie and then his mando Maidana. Khan did not beg the WBA unification fights take precedence over mandos.
False. Salita was Khan's mandatory before Maidana. After Salita, Khan fought Malignaggi, and then went to Maidana. That's one fight, not two. I don't agree with Khan's insistence on publicly trash-talking and calling Bradley a coward and *****. I understand his frustrations, but I’d prefer it if he vented them out in a more appropriate manner. He’s coming across as an ass now. However, he shouldn’t really be subjected to the same sort of criticism that Bradley’s been receiving, because his decision to not fight Maidana again, is completely different to Bradley’s decision to not fight him [Khan]. The two aren’t comparable, so I don’t know why you keep repeating it. :conf
so what style would make khan look good, judah? khan openly said judah would make me look bad. maidana is a come forward fighter which would allow khan use his speed and power. i've watched every single amir khan fight, i know what type of fighter will make him look good and what doesn't. khan fought 2 boxers in america, malignaggi and judah, but they won't the most exciting fights were they? maidana was someone who would bring the fight to khan and allow him to showcase his skills. why does khan want someone like morales next? because he is someone who will always be there for him to hit, wheras a fighter such as guerrero has skills to make khan miss and look ordinary. i aint hating i'm just pointing out that khan shouldn't be hating on fighters such as ortiz for not being a draw when he isn't a PPV star yet. i want him to do well but unlike the likes of ortiz he has hand picked opponents wheras fighters like ortiz are only interested in fighting the best and not waiting for them to get old like khan is with floyd.
khan would get demolished by pbf but you cant knock a man who has got the balls to go for all the best fights. well done khan.:thumbsup
