Brilliant episode. They should send Nelson off to more training camps. He comes across a lot better when hitting the pads and messing around in the gym.

 

Amir still fighting much the same way in the sparring. And the problem with Roach wanting him to be flat footed is that Amir will get hit a lot more. He doesn't bend from the waist and roll/slip punches. His defense consists of using the legs. It is when he gets tired from all that movement that his defense shifts to hanging on the ropes with that very basic ear muff defense.

I would like more Ringside shows like this. This one was better than most HBO 24/7 shows imo

 

Whens the repeat i missed the episode ?

 

Roach thinks Khan is going to fight like Mayweather in the pocket the way he's talking. Wishful thinking all round.

Can see his thinking though. Peterson throws wide and Khan moving backwards suits him down to the ground.
