I agree, but will your view change as regards Khans victory if Limond pulls off a surprise against Salita at welter?

 

Again I agree, but Khan isn't clever enough to generate the hype himself, he is no doubt being told what to say by Warren. I will criticise someone for being arrogant when that arrogance isn't warranted, but I won't slag someone off for being thick, which he demonstrably is.

 

I don't think FW is responsible for all the Khan b/s. Sometimes in post fight interviews you could see FW smirking at Khan when he used to claim he would be a world champ by end of the year.

I agree about him being thick though, he does not understand half the words he tries to use. This might also explain why he thought he was good enough to be in the ring with Pacman and Hatton.

Yes all credit to him for getting up and stopping limmond but you missed the point of my post entirely by biting so quick and not thinking about it.

Now let me break it down for you


Willie Limmond has spent most of his career at super feather and amir khan is a huge light weight and should really be up at 140 and that is where he will end up.

Not only is willie a super feather but he is not known exactly known for his punch power now is he, he has 8 stoppage wins in 31 fights 29 wins 2 losses
Yet he had amir staggering around the ring and down and out in the 6th, so that was a preety good sign that amir's whiskers wern't up to the grade.

Yes it was great that khan broke his jaw and stopped him in the next round but, that isn't the point.

If a non punching domestic fighter can do that to khan what is a world class puncher going to do to him. We almost saw when shot to peices super feather gomez put him down in there fight. Therefore the writing was on the wall, and as it happens a club fighter done him in less then a minuete:-(

Khan can not put muscles on his chin and its a damn shame as he is a great flashy boxer with great skills, fast and has some mustard on his shots. He is also flawed, in he isn't hard to hit and his defence is horrible.

So either he learns to not get hit and be morer cautious or he is going to get another highlight reel ko against him. I just can't see how he is going to fight top class fighters and not get hit on the chin can you ???

Willie Limond's jaw was not broken, it was stopped by the ringside doctor who claimed he thought it was broken but after a check up it was discovered only to be bruised. Warren **** himself when Limond floored him and thats why we never got to see him in with anyone remotely powerful after that fight.

Presscott was supposed to be the guy who had a great KO record that Khan would beat and silence all the critics but we are not as silly as Warren would like and we know how to check whether a fighters record is well earned or packed full of bums and Prescotts record was definitely the latter. 9 of his opponents had never ever won a fight FFS and if Khan/warren thought they could sell that to real fans then they are kidding themselves. In fact this was being sold to Joe public who had jumped onto the Khan bandwagon after some very clever promoting.

The icing on the cake was Presscott KO'ing him in less than a minute and the only mistake team Khan and Warren made was under-estimating just how weak his chin really was whereas many of us lot n here and other forums knew he had a very frail chinny chin chin.

 

Oh, and lets not forget that Limond had only fought twice in the time it took Khan to rack up his 12 wins

I said the night Limond was halted that Warren had a hand in his stoppage.

The fight wasnt as easy as Khan or Fwank thought and he **** himself that Khan could lose.

 

How come Limond is fighting in New York then?
