The only purpose of drug testing is to prevent fighters rioding their heads off and killing an opponent. Think of it as a pat down, if you have a gun or knife on you then you ain't fighting anyone, although typically they will find a toothpick or fork on you after the fight...and if you have enough money & clout you might be able to sneak in a butter knife.
