I have been noticing an increase in Khan threads showing our annoyance towards his choice of opponents and also the comments about his chin.

If we can put our blind hate to one side for just a minute, if Khan beats Kotelnik and then lands himself a fight against Prescott and then beats him and then goes onto fight somebody like Juan Diaz or Maidana or Ortiz and beats them will people on here who are showin blind hate for him still show the same level of hate.

I am trying to find out whether the hate is because he is seen as fraudulent or whether its because of his choice of opponents or whether its just personal hate for no apparent reason.

No, you are wrong, he won't suffer the same level of hate if he does all those amazing things.

My problem with him is the sliver spoon, but if he proves himself a fighter in excess of that support, i'll be pulling for him never mind hating him. But right now the guy should be fighting 10 rounders at sub-British title level, not having faded legends proped up for him and having that legend suffer a ridiculous cut for just long enough that the little **** can have his stoppage win.

I here what your saying but please explain to me why he should be fighting sub 10 round British Title Level fights when he is able to land World Title Shots ?

I mean Kevin Mitchell has a World Title Shot coming up, should we tell him not to take his opportunities and continue fighting for a British Title.

If you was getting the backing would you not take a world title shot if it came about ?

Because he's just been stopped by an unkown fighter in one round.

I'm not saying the fighter himself should be saying, "no, i don't deserve this chance", we're not living in ****ing star trek, what i'm saying is I don't like that a fighter gets propped up by money rather than ability. You should fight your way back form LKO1 not be handed a faded legend by your promoters money. That sort of thing bothers me. He bothers me.

Prescott should have got Barrera and the title shot. Khan should have fought an eliminator for the British title. That's the way things should work.

Khan is a silver medalist prospect who got ****ing destroyed and was rewarded with a superstar trainer. I don't like it at all.

If Khan beats Kotelnik he will fight Maidana, Maidana could quite possible knock Khans head off..... I think Khan should of cleared up the British domestic level and i think he would gain respect, if Khan stays in the Junior welterweight division it could be very tough for him as there are some excellent fighters, good luck to him..

Is Maidana the mandatory for the winner of Kahn-Kotelnik?

I actually agree with everything you've said because I think Prescott has been sitting on the fence because of Frank Warren. Frank Warren has some sort of say in Prescott's future opponents and I think that was partly why the Prescott vs Valero fight did not happen.

I think Warren wants to keep him inactive to then give Khan a better chance of beating him in a rematch but I do believe that Khan needs to fight Prescott after he beats Kotelnik to regain some of the respect he lost from getting KO'ed in less than a minute.

But I agree with you totally when you put it like that.

    There isnt really 'blind' hate.

Khan has been hugely hyped, especially in the UK, and his supporters have been hyping him up too. Boxing fans don't much like prospects who are hailed as the second coming, yet show massive weaknesses, are very carefully match-made, and fail spectacularly at the first hurdle.

For some reason, Khan wont be able to take the soft option anymore because every fighter in the 135 to 140 weight class is tough and there will be no shortcuts.

He has a tough fight with Kotelnik in which I dont think he will win but if he does then I cant see him fighting Maidana but then again he will have to and I think that Khan might be able to stop him because Maidana can bang but Maidana can also be easily hit but Khan will box him, he's not stupid. The reason Khan got stopped brutally was because he tried to stand there with a banger and trade with him and got his lights outed.

He will probably lose all three fights you mention above.

It's a big IF. If he wins at least his next two fights I will be impressed.
