khan should never have alienated ariza shakes. he was looking more sure and steady when he had team ariza/memo behind him.

plus he shouldn't get fat between fights and should try to stay at 140.

 

Few guys hate khan a bit too much in here to get a decent discussion going. I dont like him either. Not impressed with what hes trying to do...sell himself as an elite level fighter. But few letting their hate for him...cloud their judgement a bit. Hes got more flaws that most...but in his defence. Hes also got attributes that people struggle to deal with. Hes better than giving credit for. I thought he was better under roach. But that pace he set wouldnt last forever. Hes probably better off under virgil with coming on 30. Was actually impressed with him against canelo...in terms of virgils input. Wasnt down to his defence he got done. His defence was good in that fight. Hes just got bigger problems.

Still think he,ll give brook problems. At the same time hes avoiding brook cause brooks style will give him problems also...think he,ll make khan fall short. Then he wont know what to do in there. But think people will be surprised at how much trouble he gives brook in the first six at least. I see it as a 60/40 fight for brook if not closer.

The way people are talking if brook should be expected to knock him out in three. Because khan is terrible and brook is exceptional according to some.

His lack of ring IQ, staying in the pocket too long throwing shots (e.g. Garcia fight) and being predictable in that opponents can read him + set traps all amount to him getting clocked.

 

on top of everything else the guy is a first class cvnt!!!

 

He's the boxing equivalent of theo wallcot.

A small adjustment to stop Garcia's left hook and he possibly gets out of that fight with a Win...
Hurt but recovering box his way to safety...Nah ill stand in the pocket and trade which is where i don't excel.

Hes not the sharpest knife in the draw is he. Some decent skills, huge speed but predictable and fragile. The worst thing is Hunter tries to get him to fight like he's some cerebral fighter and he just isn't. His best time was with Roach who his using his speed to raid in and out. Yeah he's calmer under Hunter but still vulnerable against anyone with a decent dig.

 

That is my biggest problem with Khan. He has deluded himself into thinking that he's a so-called global superstar who should only fight a handful of other global superstars in a mega-PPV once every 12 to 18 months. I say let him fight Skeete, but Khan probably equates that to collecting rubbish for a living.

If your ever down in the dumps just you tube khan getting knocked unconscious. There is nothing better than amir doing the chicken dance. For me he is a British comedy legend like Derek trotter and Basil fawlty.

 

The thing is roach continually told him to stop staying there too long against garcia in the corner. Told him to get in and out and stop staying their throwing too many punches. He seen what was about to happen way before khan did. Continually warned him and told him how to stop it.

Khan refuses to listen gets caught...then blames roach for the loss.

 

Its seriously annoying especially when he ends up getting canelo and pacman fights. In his mind its him. Mayweather and pacman then the rest.

I don't think Khan listens to anyone at the moment, not even his own family.

 

You're right that his defence is terrible, but his chin is also terrible, one of the worst chins at world level of all time.

There are plenty of fighters with bad defence that aren't constantly knocked out every time they face someone who isn't either feather fisted or shot.

 

These things are all true, but he ALSO has a pathetic chin.
