from the scene Seems like a decent choice but Khan better apreciate that Ward is the star pupil and not make ridiculous demands.. Does hunter train many other fighters? I hope khan doesnt start speaking about how virgil has relally unlocked his potential and is great and a couple years later he gets KOed and switches again.. This content is protected reminds me of this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I67LgQG8wIo&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Hmmm :think Don't know enough about Hunter to say whether the two would be a good pairing. But I do like his philosophy of the game and the company (Andre Ward) he'll provide Khan.
Not a good fit. Robert Garcia would of been perfect. He fits Khan's style perfectly. This is another head scratching moment, kinda like how Angulo was rumored to be with Hunter. Makes no sense. Virgil is a great trainer...for certain styles.
Andre Ward was gifted at a young age. He was around people like RJJ when he was young and started taking elements from each fighter and made himself into a complete one. Khan thinks that just by training with Virgil he'll get the defensive abilities/inside fight game to the T. I think they are innate. You can't mimick. The one thing he does have is fast hands and he doesn't even know how to use them and pace himself. Nevermind, learning how to fight going backwards etc.
Exactly... The thing with the Roach was that he was a trainer that was constantly moving around places during training - be it to the Phillipines for Pac, or the living room of Chavez. Khan was either following Roach, or spending time with assistant trainers back in the Wildcard. But he shouldn't have that problem with Ward being the main pupil, because Hunter won't be moving around everywhere for Ward. He stays in one place. And so too would Khan when moves there. But like others have said, it's difficult to say whether they'd be a good match. If Khan, or anyone else, expect Hunter to do for him what he's done for Ward (a completely different style of fighter), then expect to be disappointed.
Strange choice. Ward takes chances to get inside which includes taking punches to deliver his, if Hunter is all that style Khan will be in more trouble. Manny Steward is the ideal choice, Khan has a long quick jab, good footwork but not much upper body and side movement and a suspect chin, and that worked out great with Wlad.
