Stewards style would only work for Khan whilst he was at 140.

I admire Khan for wanting the best in the business @ the time of his switch.
(Roach was the happs w/Pacquiao... Now Hunter is the mode w/Ward)

^But they can't change what he lacks.

khan will never be able to fight using head movement/slickness to parry punches etc. His only way is a Wlad type defence or Even hearns.

Lots of jabs and straights, and using your foot speed, and stay out of range of hooks and upercuts.

Ward fights at a distance where he' at range or hooks and uppercuts.

Khan can't do that. Steward was the only man for me who can take Khan to the next level.

I still think Khan should have never left Roach, he was the best for him.

Nah I really think it's Steward all the way for Khan. It's a bit of a cliche but I really don't think roach is great at teching defence

Roach is good at what he does, he's improved Pacquiao's defense in many ways. The main reason for why Khan started doing badly was because of Khan! Not Roach.

I dont think Khan can change his style now, what Freddie done with him was great as he utilised his speed and jab well, that is when Khan was listening to him. It's pretty evident in the Judah and Malignaggi fights that Khan was developing great boxing skills without getting too hasty, back then Roach and Khan together was meant to be the next big thing.

Khan is very confident and feels like he has to prove something in every one of his fights and that was the key to his downfall, surely Roach knows this aswell.

Not sure why so many people are so concerned with this. Khan is not an elite fighter he has no power and an awful Chin. Changing trainers for the 2nd time after an embarrassing KO loss isn't going to do anything. Here is what Roach who we all know is a very capable trainer had to say about Khan:

Tells us all we need to know. Khan has a Glass Jaw and no trainer out there can fix that. None.

Still think Pedro Diaz would be a good choice.Khan's unhappy that he's not Freddie's priority so I doubt Hunter would make him the main man.
Cotto won't be overly active in the next few years and Diaz seems to have a good grasp on footwork and head movement.

Don't you think language would be a problem, mate?

And by priority, Khan's issue isn't being the second guy. I think it's more the travelling around and Roach being too busy for a normal trainer. He's too hollywood now, it seems. With Hunter, at least he'll be second fiddle to a fighter that'll be staying in one place (California) and not be taking Hunter with him to the Phillipines every camp.

khan isn't smart enough to learn the shoulder roll or a defence which doesn't consist of earmuffs. his career as a top level fighter is over.

I don't want to give my reasons at the moment,as it's as much a gut feeling as it is genuine misgivings, but I do think this could be a personality clash waiting to happen.
You're right about the language mate, but I was coming from the place that he didn't fire Rubio because of the language(my belief anyway)
I think he needs someone who leaves ego at the door whilst being able to deal with a fighter's ego.
