Amir yesterday visited a food-voucher distribution point and played with homeless Muqadas, eight, Alishba, six, and three-year-old Numeeb at Oxfam's Government Port Camp near Nowshera.

It is home to around 4,000 flood victims, who face living up to ten to a tent for months or even years.

Amir - who has helped raise more than £1million for Pakistan in the past month - begged Brits to give just £1 each to flood appeals. He said: "That's enough to stop a child going hungry."

And he vowed to give prize-money from his world title bout against Marcos Maidana on December 11 to Pakistan. He added: "I'm dedicating the fight to those who died and are suffering."

Neva Humaira Khan, Oxfam's Director in Pakistan, yesterday said: "This crisis is just getting bigger and bigger. The public's response has been generous beyond belief. In a recession they have dug deep. But we still need more donations so that we can reach more people."

Gotta give credit when it's due. Best of luck to both fighters.

Aye us Brits should donate money to a corrupt country in which many would happily blow us to bits. **** off Amir.

    Why not?

You Brits blow up children with drones in Peshawar, no?

You also ask for money for poor African countries who you - your government, Al-Queda, the Pakis (insert name here), keep in debt, no?

    Hmm.

Its hard to sympathise with some innocent kids who are going without food and shelter for a year isn't it.

    ****ing Paki's eh?

This is true...and I agree to a point. But think of the starving kids, what did they do wrong. If the money gets to the people who REALLY need it, and not withered away into corrupt channels, then i`m all for it. In reality, all the money seldom reaches those in need.

End of the day its his money.....

What a pack of **** this thread has become. I am thinking solely of the kids involved here so wont be drawn into pessimism of a racial and religious nature. I don't like Amir Khan but credit where it is due.

I think it's fair to say the folk on here know their boxing, I think it's equally fair to say the majority aren't too hot on politics.

This was just a news thread. Not to stir anyone's political views. The message i was TRYING to send across was Khan was basically fighting Maidana for free. He will pay roach and his team for their purse of course, but all of his will go to the flood victims.
