"British based Pakistani" interesting, never heard him called that before.:patsch

Anyway, surely this was no surprise. Warren had this fight sealed straight after Rees won against Mbaye. Unfortunately Rees lost his title in first defence and his plan to get Amir an easy world belt didnt quite work out. Atleast the little lad might be able to loe some weight so he fights in a more natural division in future.

This is another mismatch. Rees has no power to trouble Khan and is way too short.
Kotelnik was 5"7 and a half, Khan is 5"10 and Rees is only 5"3 so come on this will all end similar to Graham Earl fight. If Rees stands and trades with Khan he will be blasted out of there Khan is much quicker than Kotelnik and hits harder too. Rees is too short to be able to connect with any jabs, Khan will bust up Rees and he will be lucky to make it out of the first round.

Just because he is welsh do not be blinded by pride for your countreymen. I am not a Khan fan but I know a mismatch when i see it, I mean I backed Kotelnik to beat Rees by KO.

Khan has fought and beat the better opposition, Limond, Earl, St Clair. The only decent people Rees beat was Mbaye and he is past it, and you will see this when Herman Ngoujou beats him in their upcoming fight.

Khan is bigger, quicker, hits harder. There is no department wher Khan is not superior to Rees.

Less than none. Although it will be interesting to see if Khan just wins or looks spectacular.

I'm a welshman and I think Khan will destry Rees in every possible way, too much power, too quick, better skills and he is bigger.
Rees doesnt have the power to stop Khan from coming forward and landing at will.

    TKO round 4!!!!!!

this fight will not be competetive, rees is normally gassed out by round 8. the guy has no power so amir's dodgy will not be put to the test. if warren wants to prove a point then he should have got the fight with kotelink. i think he would cause more problems for khan and it would be a test, i can see that the british fans have been misled in thinking this would be a competetive fight.

This is a well matched fight. Good fight for both fellas, Rees has a bigger chance tha people think, nearly every man he has ever faced has been taller than him and has longer arms and yet Rees has only lost to one man, and that man was a world class light welterweight, who gives everybody trouble even legit top 140lbers!

Gavin Rees will make a better lightweight! Definately not a mismatch!

Nice to see somebody agreeing with me. My faith in Rees has nothing to do with me being Welsh. He'll give Khan a good test.

i am english and i would love to see rees win!!!!!!!!
i just dont like the way khan talks as if winning a world title is a foregone conclusion, i hope he never wins a world title for that reason!!!

What people are forgetting is that Khan has never fought a pressure fighter, which is something Rees brings, albeit a poor one

Should be interesting while it lasts, but Rees eats far too much leather

Good fight if you're on the Khan management team, give him a poor fighter whose style is new to him....allowing him to see a different style without being exposed to anything potentially dangerous.

    Khan KO 4 ish.
