Detroit is only about a 3.5 hour drive for me. Well worth it to see some shattered glass.

    Detroit - Make it happen!

Apparantly the Muslim population in Detroit is high, and Schaefer is convinced Khan can draw in a good crowd. That, and HBO may prefer it to be staged in the US rather than the UK.

Hahah Ellie Sechback makes me laugh.

On another note. Khan's gym activity concerns me, I know that between fights he still goes to the gym in Bolton. But if I was him I'd live and train at wildcard, working on improving myself and keeping the attitude of a prospect and developing fighter. Instead he trains in LA only in the 8weeks prior to his fights, which at 2, sometimes 3 a year isn't a lot, and appears to adopt the perspective of someone who is at the peak of their career and developed and basically does the routine of going into training prior to a fight, rather than actual development.

I don't know if Khan would draw big though over there. It's more of an Arab-Muslim population.

Khan will draw a guarantee of 2,000. That's pretty much what he brought from the UK and Maidana being a harder fight, will only attract more.

Is Detroit really that bad of a place though? :think

In other news, Salita improved his record to 31-1-1 last night in a decision victory

It's a fight he could get KTFO, so better have it away from home and at 4AM.

Yeah this is true, Khan himself said he was not happy with only fighting 2 times this year. HBO messed up with the dates, Paulie's fight should of been in March/April so Khan could got another fight before Ramadan, so this Dec 11th would of been his 3rd fight this year.

Khan will have at least a 10 week camp for this fight, the 1st 2 weeks light work/joging, and 8 weeks hard camp, Khan is a freak in the gym a very hard worker.

Imo Vegas, NY, or AC would all be better than Detroit.

In an ideal world, GB and HBO would couple this fight with another attractive bout, say - Hopkins vs Pascal.

Help me out here, I don't understand. What is the difference between "Arab-Muslim" and Kahn?
