Amir Khan put on a masterful performance in outclassing the world class Andriy Kotelnik tonight. In fact it was the biggest beating Kotelnik has ever took in the pro game after losing by two debatable decisions previously. So is it now onwards and upwards for Khan now?

Firstly, I think we can write off the Prescott (hype job) loss after his humbling last night to the unheralded Vazquez. It became apparent to me that Amir had not properly warmed up for the fight and was just caught cold.

The reasons why I say he was caught cold is because there are no problems with his chin at all. He took big punches from one of the hardest hitters in the division ABOVE Prescott and did not even flinch. He showed a chin the likes of Wlad, Ortiz and Mayorga would be proud to have.

Now with this win against Kotelnik alongside his destruction of the legend Marco Antonio Barrera and wins against top fighters like Gomez, St Clair and Limond he now has a resume to match the very top fighters of the 140 pound division.

So now the division is at Khan's feet and he can pick and choose which ever fight he wants in the division. Possibly Witter, Maidana or Ortiz, although these would not have much of a chance against Khan who has the superior speed, reflexes, stamina and power to the aforementioned fighters.

I see his next challenge being to move up and fight at Welterweight and challenge the likes of Mosley, Mayweather, Marquez and Paul Williams. He has all the tools to beat these fighters, although they would be tough fights, but workrate, aggression and having Roach in his corner will gave him the edge over his opponents, plus the psychological edge he now has over his future opponent (esp. Williams) by dispelling any worries about his chin.

So I just want to say well done to Amir Khan, the world champion of 140 and long may it continue!

I actually find trolling like this much better than the mundane Rico approach.

(If you're not actually trolling, then...er, oh dear.)

He and Pacquiao are mates, they would never fight. Fair enough rule alongside Pacquiao or rule once Pacquiao retires - is that better?

Khan has the tools to beat Williams and Mosley? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Torres, Holt, Bradley, Campbell beat Khan. Khan might have a shot with the likes of Cherry, URango, and Bailey though.

Write it off, eh? REALLY. You talk about it like Kotelnik even brings a FRACTION of the power a guy like Prescott does. Fact of the matter is, while Khan looked decent taking flush shots from a guy with an abyssmal KO means absolutely nothing in relation to how he handles a power puncher.

Torres: Would be outboxed just like Kotelnik, with Khan staying away from him.

    Holt: Same as Torres.

    Bradley: Same as Torres.

    Campbell: Same as Torres.

Torres hits harder than Kotelnik, way harder, and if he lands on Khan, Khan is out, period.

Holt is a boxer/puncher, he has longer reach than Khan so what Khan did tonight would not apply to Holt, he would have to worry about coming in on Holt, not getting hit, flurrying, and then getting back out without getting hit. I doubt he could do that without getting hurt, he doesn't have a chin as good as Bradley.

Bradley, the pressure fighter that has a chin to take flush hits from Witter and Holt, has the skills to work inside of holt and beat him and Witter into submission, but Khan is going to dance around him like he did Kotelnik, even though Bradley is stronger, faster, and a all around better boxer than Kotelnik? LOL. Bradley makes a ugly fight with Khan and beats him into submission.

Campbell might have a problem due to age, but again, unlike Kotelnik he has one punch KO power, and if he lands as cleanly as Kotelnik did today, Khan is out.
