About 28 seems right for the lower weights. Pacquiao, mayweather peaked at around that. Mayweather has managed to fit nicely into WW now that hes peaked.
I can assure you that Amir Khan has NOT been dropped many, many times. That right there is bull****. And it wasn't "Lucky" That he got up and was allowed to continue against prescott at all, he just got hurt again, the fight should of been stopped from the first knock down. And you are talking complete ****, It don't matter that Prescott went on to lose his other fights, the fact is he has a 80 - 90 percent KO ratio! Amir rushed it and paid the price! ****ing awful posting, jesus, use some ****ing common sense and less of that biased bull****.
No, I definitely think the power of Maidana was something they considered also, moreso even. Getting KO'd on his debut in the U.S. would tarnish his career big style, with first impressions and all that. It was a good move risk wise and also financially speaking.
Amir Khan is 5'10, of course he wasn't going to stay in the lightweight division for long. They moved him up just because he was growing and he felt more comfortable at 140. I mean, thats what Freddy and Ariza said, but what would they know, you're obviously the expert here.
Khan fights nothing like Mayweather (who has the best defense of his generation) so you can't really draw comparisons. Khan throws big combos, with his style you will get punched. Also not every fighter would have went down from that Prescott hit, some granite chinned fighters would have recovered from it but it was a big hit. Khan has tremendous skills but he won't be going unbeaten for years, there is only so long you can fight opponents whose style suits you down to the ground. As someone already said, his career will have many ups and downs. His chin is bad, don't fool yourself. You can't really improve that, not in any substantial way anyhow. Therefore he will be sparked sooner or later.
I actually think Khan has amazing skills. The real question is who is the better fighter between him and Alexander, and Ortiz. All three are younger then 24, and seem to have good followings for their age. I do think that Khan will go the farthest but will also retire earliest as well. Not something along the lines of Hamed, but more so that he just doesn't want to box anymore after the age of 29.
:deal Khan aged 17 - fighting for lightweight medal Khan several years on still at lightweight. In the more recent videos you can really say his frame starting to fill out. Still needs a few more years though.
Warren was close to signing the deal with Maidana, Maidana had accepted the offer. Then Khan jumps **** to GBP apparently because he says he wants to fight Maidana (???).. then GBP pay Maidana step aside money for three fights or a year, to not fight Khan.. then Khan signs to fight Paulie. That's how it happened.
Considering the amount of fights he's had, and the competition, he has. Um, i'm sorry but mindlessly quoting a KO ratio shows your stupidity; it's a ****ing statistic - a high KO ratio actainst nobodies means nothing. Especially when we're supposed to be regarding khan as "world class". And he's not 5'10, he's barely 5'9, just to be perdantic.
They said he was making LW fine, amazing how as soon as kotelnik became a viable opponent that 135 was instantly torture and he had to move up. Yeah, that's what Freddy and Arize said, cause theyre a compeltely unbiased source of information arent they. ****ing idiot. I'm happy to discuss Khan on here logically, but the fact you dont even understand that nature of quoting statistics, dont know Khans actual height, and use his trainer as a bona fide source of info, i've conclued youre a ******. And i'm guessiny by your posting style youre about 16.
